New talk of President Trump possibly pardoning himself drew pushback from Republicans on the Sunday show circuit this week.
Both Congressional Republicans and the president's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, urged caution that a self-issued pardon could be politically problematic for Trump.
But Giuliani said the president “probably” has the power to give himself a pardon even though doing so would prove to be difficult.
“I think the political ramifications of that [pardoning] would be tough. Pardoning other people is one thing. Pardoning yourself is another,” Giuliani told ABC’s “This Week.”

Its a political process and to thwart it, the President is actively discrediting the Mueller probe.
So if Mueller comes out with a recommendation to impeach Trump, it will be DOA.

Inconsistent answers to questions about your favorite color is “perjury”.
Or not going along with an investigation into an imaginary event is “obstruction”.
Why bring this up, it’s irrelevant.

POTUS can’t be charged with a crime while in office, ergo couldn’t`t pardon himself.

I could not believe how “played” this is by the MSM. Giuliani answered a question about whether it was theoretically possible for Trump to pardon himself. He even explained that Trump had no intention of doing any such thing. What does the media do? They treat it like Trump said he is going to pardon himself. These MSM creatures are pure despicable.

Wouldn’t need any humorous talk about the president pardoning himself if there weren’t ridiculous talk about him being impeached WHEN NO CRIME HAS EVEN BEEN IDENTIFIED TO INVESTIGATE.

Mueller and the Left are aiming to set a perjury trap. True there is no crime but if Trump can be charged with lying under oath or obstructing justice, then those are crimes created by design for the President to be trapped into.
Mueller nor any prosecutor can indict a sitting president but the House can effectively indict through an impeachment vote.
If Mueller or others can trap the President, then the House has grounds to impeach.
This whole scheme stinks. Heads should roll. Yet, if the President takes action directly against the coup plotters, he can be accused of obstruction. This is why the DOJ IG and US Attorney Huber working with the IG can go after the coup plotters while the President stands back and remains above the fray.

You are right on ... The running around screaming
... reminds of how Trump’s answer at the debate whether he would accept the results of the election. His answer immediately brought all their running around vitriol about his answer being an affront to democracy, our cherished institutions, blah blah blah and more blah. Then after the election results showed their unhealthy, ethically and legally challenged LOSER golden girl who did not have the common courtesy show up that night to concede... they did not, and they still do not accept the results of the election but continue to run around in circles screaming.
