California lawmakers are pushing numerous gun control measures including an expansion of confiscatory orders and limits on the number of firearms residents can buy each month.
Many of the lawmakers are claiming school shootings in Florida and Texas as the impetus for more gun control on law-abiding Californians.
The Mercury News reports that Assemblyman Rob Bonita (D-18) is pushing controls to bar 18-20-year olds from buying firearms. A companion bill, sponsored by State Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-25), passed the Senate earlier this week. Portantinos bill also puts a one-gun-a-month purchase limit in place for Californians.

It all adds up to confiscation.
“But... At least Californians can have ‘original intent 2nd Amendment’ single shot muskets... For now.”
Correction: not if they have bayonet lugs or are capable of mounting a bayonet, including plug bayonets, or sling swivels.
All Revolutionary War muskets/rifles must be completely demilitarised.
Besides, if they are indeed flint locks they could start a raging forest fire.
When I finally leave this godless communist cesspool, I am going to have a blast laughing while watching from a distance while California decays and collapses. I can only hope the rest of the California conservatives have the common sense to get out before they are further harmed.
For those California conservatives determined to stay and go down with the ship, I can only offer good luck, God bless you, and God protect you. Some people just can’t leave family no matter how bad things get for them. I understand that.
Not me. I’m outta here. I will move my vote where I have a chance to keep a GOP state solid or help to save a battleground state. My vote is swamped and counts for nothing in California. Let California’s 55 electoral votes be 100% Democrat. If all California Republicans were able to move to states in play, we could make all those states solidly conservative politically.
Met a guy selling something last month, said they were getting ready to move to Cali. Family there.
Bout the only reason I would understand. Barely.
I sit and watch the goings on in CA. I feel sorry for the Conservatives that still live there and have to put up with this liberal, ‘progressive’ insanity.
Then I thank the Good Lord above again for leading me to Aiken County, SC. Plenty of room here.
I could never accept a limit like that. I’d rent a place in a free state just to be able to buy any amount I choose.
Box of 30 cal ammo will cost near that today.
Is it time for necktie parties and suits of tar and feathers?
There is no such thing as normal gun laws, they are all unconstitutional. The right belongs to the people and the Second amendment says no government agency can make any law that would abridge that right.
Just read something that leads one to believe that ‘craven gruesome’ will probably replace moonbeam in Nov. Another sad day in Cali in list of many. i did laugh out loud at an ad the other day from one of his “conservative” opponents. It was along the lines of:
“How can you trust him to run the state when he can’t even be trusted with his best friends wife?”
Then again, it takes two to tango.
Gavin Newsom?
I'm surprised the accusation involves misconduct with another man's wife.
