The President can fire him at will.

The media will howl. So what.

McConnell has said he will not confirm anyone else unless Sessions resigns.

Makes you wonder if Sessions is, and always has been, behind Trump to deter any punishment for deep state crimes.

Perhaps the people need to start getting militant toward Sessions.

Poop or get off the pot, Jeff. Prove you are behind the people in seeking justice.

If he fires him they will not confirm another which essentially leaves Rosenstein as AG. The department hasn’t been cleaned up and there may well be someone worse in line behind Rosenstein

Because firing his AG, while he was under serious investigation, worked out so well for Nixon.

Smh.

“The President can fire him at will.

The “so what,” is the problem he will face getting the GOPe-controlled Senate to “consent” to Sessions replacement. My guess is Trump will wait until Mueller is “dispatched,” and possibly until the November Election is done, with the hope that the voters will give him some decent replacements (i.e for Corker, Flake, McCain, Fischer, Wicker and Heller)

If Sessions had an ounce of integrity he would step down voluntarily. He proves he is a swamp creature by staying in his position. Resign now Sessions before you go down in history as a corrupt bum.

The Senate—including most of the (Swamp) Republicans—have told President Trump that if he fires ex-Senator Sessions, that they will not approve his next AG nominee.

Which I guess doesn't mean jack squat, because President Trump (I never tire of saying that) can still appoint an interim AG, correct?

I guess the general idea is that if President Trump wants the Senate to pass his policy priorities, he'd be ill advised to go to war with the GOPe Senate.

Basically, the GOPe Senate is engaging in political extortion, so Sessions remains for now.

I'm confidently predicting that if something significant doesn't come out of the Justice Department regarding Hillary/the Coup/FBI shenanigans before the midterms, President Trump will fire AG Sessions—in a New York minute—immediately afterwards...

If he does it won't happen before the mid-terms.

It is not that. The old rumor was that the Senate would not confirm ANY replacenent for AG, and you would have acting AG and traitor Rosenstein running everything at Justice. So the thinking is, having Sessions do half the job is better than Rosen-weasel screwing up everything.

Once again, the GOP-e cuts us off at the knees.

The media howls no matter what President Trump does. I say that Sessions is part of the Republican RINO establishment.
