President Donald Trump said Wednesday he regretted choosing Jeff Sessions as attorney general, a continuation of the President's frustrations over Sessions' decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
Quoting Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-South Carolina, who noted on CBS earlier Wednesday that Trump "could have picked somebody else" for the position, Trump tweeted, "I wish I did!"

Pompeo could easily function as acting AG, after the NK thing is settled. And as an ex-Senator, the pushback wouldn’t be as intense, from the pubbies anyway.

Session well knows Trump doesnt want him as AG anymore. Sessions is generally an honorable guy, but he is being completely dishonorable working for a boss who does not respect him. A really honorable person would submit their resignation and hope the president tears it up, but expects he wont.
Sessions is being a schmuck.
Yet everybody, including Mueller, has said Trump is not personally a subject of the investigation. Nixon was different. He was investigated for covering up Watergate. Nobody has accused Trump of anything.

The media howls no matter what President Trump does. I say that Sessions is part of the Republican RINO establishment.
Every human should always be held to the same standard of behavior. Anything that was wrong for Obama to do is wrong for Trump to do and should receive the exact same condemnation from anyone who isn’t a blithering hypocrite. And vice versa. If something was wrong for a Pope to say, it’s wrong for an Imam to say, and vice versa.
‘Privilege’ is the vilest word in the language, as it means ‘Private Law’, and there should be no such thing; an illegal action should result in any person guilty of it receiving the exact same punishment.

Trump has had 329 executive branch nominees confirmed already, so I’m sure he could find someone to fill the seat.
Let’s keep in mind that Trump didn’t just post this Twitter message at random. It was posted as a response to an article in the NYT that was presented as some kind of bombshell revelation that Trump wanted Sessions to “unrecuse” himself in the Russia collusion matter. By posting this Twitter message Trump completely defused the story. He basically said: “Damn right he shouldn’t have recused himself.”
