A friend of mine has diabetic neuropathy in his feet. Says it feels like he’s stepping on several marbles with every step he takes. He and his wife each have medical marijuana cards in NM so they grow their own and make cannabis butter. She makes him brownies with the butter and he takes a quarter of a brownie about every four to five hours. Says “it’s a miracle.”
The doctor had him on four Rxs previously and none of them did anything at all. The doc was happy to give him an Rx for pot. I believe he grows the high CBD variety for the neuropathy.
Not that it matters in this case but he is a USMC veteran from the early ‘60s.
“high CBD variety”
Yes, the high CBD varieties exist, but are hard to find for many.
Getting off pharmacy chemicals is a godsend for a lot of people. Others are OK with opiates because they think cannabis is “dope”.
That’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are.
CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, the active ingredient from the hemp plant. It is not psychoactive.
THC is the abbreviation for tetra hydra cannibinol, which is the active ingredient in the marijuana plant. It is psychoactive.
Healing benefits have been reported for both compounds, and a great deal of clinical research has been done which scientifically supports those claims.
Sadly, the culture is having to plow through decades worth of negative impressions and government propaganda to discover the positive aspects of these natural organisms.
