"Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper probably did himself serious damage with his earlier conflicting statements made under oath. But, his backhanded admission that yes, at least one Confidential Human Source (Spy) was hired to imbed and entrap Trump campaign operatives certainly cooked his goose. That could have happened only with his approval. His ham-fisted attempt to justify the treasonous actions by saying that Mr. Trump should be thankful because they were only trying to protect him from the rascally Russians probably won’t play well with prosecutors. His clumsy reasons for not sharing any of this with Trump and not providing similar “protections” for the Hillary campaign only add to his problems. There will be no offer to strike a deal with him. The paper trail is clear. It will make him disposable. He must know by now that his head, metaphorically, is on the block."

CNN hires liars like Clapper to lie on their Fake News programs!

Unlikely. There may be a few low-level scapegoats, but this crowd protects its own.

Let me be clear, I am not calling for the construction of a Guillotine on the Capitol Mall.

Well ok then! In the good old American tradition and spirit of the revolution, tar, feathers, rope and high tree limbs it is!!

Let the hangings commence!

I am not calling for the construction of a Guillotine on the Capitol Mall.

Just subject them to the IRS.

favored instrument in meeting out Justice for traitorous political plots

Let 'em roll. We'd be better off with 535 heads of lettuce in CONgre$$ and the unelected traitor-heads in the former executive branch are stealing O2

Rosenstein was Trump’s worst appointment. He has plenty in his background that he would like to keep hidden.

I once moved into an office that had a guillotine and two huge hammers. After a lot of complaining, I finally got someone to come get the guillotine.

They may not be used for executions any more, but are used in research for humane euthanasia.

Is it too soon to start a discussion about whether President Trump should consider a Presidential Pardon for Obama? After conviction, of course.

A ferocious independent prosecutor is necessary to expose the enormity of this plot and punish those who subverted American democracy. Jeff Sessions does not have the disposition to do what is necessary. Sessions was Trump’s most disastrous appointment. Suspect he was a plant from the start.

"Heads will roll. They will definitely roll!"

******************

The writer is wildly optimistic. In Washington very few people are ever really held accountable for wrongdoing. It doesn’t matter if FBI professionals FBI are coming forward and asking to be subpoenaed. This will just turn into another brief episode of political theater with no real results, all too typical of the meaningless “hearings” that go on in DC.

This congress does not have the stomach for conducting serious inquires. How many times have we seen the Republican Party wither and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? And the fake media will be spinning like tornadoes to protect their ideological brethren and the party they shill for.

Jeff ‘Sleepy’ Sessions has shown no willingness to do anything. He has effectively recused himself from his job.

We may learn a lot more about the plot and the members of the cabal in the coming weeks. But we are also going to learn, once again, that the DC elites are above the law.

The analogy of the guillotine does not apply in the Swamp.

Yes, this article would be true...

...if we had an Attorney General and a DOJ that would pursue the rule of law.

But I dream...

Let me be clear, I am not calling for the construction of a Guillotine on the Capitol Mall They should be dropped naked (excep for a chain and a millstone) into the north Atlantic from twenty thousand feet on a cold January day. Let them think about their betrayal for a few seconds on the way down, die instantly, and be buried at sea.

As much as I would enjoy watching these vile criminal being marched into a high security prison, I feel that is unlikely to occur. I think it will be nearly impossible to empanel a jury which would unanimously convict these bastards.

Once Professor Halper is extradited from Oxford and is facing the possibility of life in prison for his central role in the conspiracy, he will sing like an Irish tenor.

The author is delusional. Halper was a paid informant and that was legal. Of course the whole spying operation was highly unethical, not to mention imprudent. But the central figures approving the operation will skate. Nobody is going to go to jail for this, although there may be some reprimands in the best case. The best case is that the Dems will agree to a commission to study the operation and recommend changes to the law. The worst and more likely case is that they will double down with the stonewalling under media cover and try to impeach their way out of it.
