Did you consider Sandy a severe thunderstorm with lots of wind and rain?

Indeed. Earlier this week we had Afternoon Thundershower Stanley here in North Georgia. We’re still in the recovery stage.

It killed my keys fishing trip this weekend.

I sailed down in Miami/Keys from the mid 70s to mid 80s. Every Memorial Day weekend was a disaster..
On one we sailed from Ocean Reef to Bimini on a cold front. Needless the Gulfstream was mountainous.
Another we spent anchored off Cape Florida in a steady 2 day rain.
Another was filled with strong t/storms, waterspouts. The Coast Guard had more than 200 calls for help.
Got to be a standing joke, stay off the water Memorial Day.

Sorry your weekend got screwed up.

The Libs definitely needed to change the subject with all their investigations failing. Get ready for a lot of climate change hysteria.

Very true. It always seems to rain down here Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, the booze supplies are well stocked. I guess I may just manage to suffer through after all!

Here on the FL Gulf Coast, we did our Memorial Day grilling yesterday. We adapt as necessary to accommodate the Trump Hurricane Machine...

Subtropical Storm Alberto, Alberto is too cool to be called tropical.

...

There was a time when they wouldn’t have named such a storm.

But it’s good for their climate change scam.

North Mississippi and West Tennessee are already saturated from thunderstorms dropping 2-4” of rain almost every other day. This is the wettest spring I’ve seen in a long time.
