North Korea said on Friday it was still open to talks with the US despite Donald Trump's threat of military action after cancelling their June 12 summit in Singapore.
Pyongyang described the US president's decision to pull the plug on the much anticipated meeting as "extremely regrettable".
"The abrupt announcement of the cancellation of the meeting is unexpected for us and we cannot but find it extremely regrettable," Kim Kye Gwan, North Korea's First Vice Foreign Minister, said in a statement carried by the state-run KCNA news agency.
"We again state to the US our willingness to sit face-to-face at any time in any form to resolve the problem," Kim added.
The US president said on Thursday the American military was ready if necessary to react with its allies should North Korea take any foolish or reckless acts.

But F-35s are not B-2s that have to fly halfway around the world from Missouri. They can be based in all kinds of places long-term, and in a pinch during a crisis the F-35B can take off from a short field or road and land vertically, giving it tremendous flexibility.
Granted, even given those strengths the range is still a potential issue, but that is also why there are autonomous tanker aircraft in development. They will be able to loiter for extended periods, and if designed with stealth in mind (which is still being considered) could be difficult for the enemy to detect.
I think I said here that UN will never give up his Nukes or his missiles. This was about bribes. Trump played it PERFECT. NoKo is now an existential treat to millions of Americans and must be preempted with nukes NOW!! We have no time to waste!!
Petula sang a good version.
I was actually thinking of the one done by Chris Montez from ‘66. It was sort of jazzy, as was common in popular music from those days. Lots of hand clapping, percussion and even some whistling. Chris sang in a high tenor voice, almost a falsetto.
Yes. F-35s are based in many countries, and thousands of them will be built. Great project.
I think President Trump needs to send North Korea a strong message that he is not messing around. Thinking a tactical nuke in Hollywood should do the trick! That will show Kim and the world he is serious./s
The first appearance I remember here was 1957 (10 years old,) on the Mickey Mouse Club.

They’re ‘open’ to squat.
her not hear.. Darn fat fingers.
I’d never heard that one before. Very nice.
Not so much Team Kim as Team Deep State.
Rocket Boy got played.
Like one Mate dumps the other Mate. The other comes crawling back for a reconsidering.
All’s fair in Love & WAR! ;-)

You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.
Awesome !
President Trump doesn’t mince words !
F-35s are garbage.
They don’t have anything except a little stealth. Negate that and they’re a sitting duck that can’t turn and burn or climb like a lot of better platforms.
Waste of money.
The publicized plan is for 2,456 of them for our U.S. military forces.
I’ve recently become more amenable to both positive and negative opinions about NATO military hardware. The enemy is a bully looking to take more real estate again (expansionism, invasions). If he sees more negative opinions, we’ll get it over with sooner. If he sees more positive opinions, we’ll get a little more time to prepare individually.
The awful F-35 is a done deal at least to the end of its production plans, though. We’re all stuck with it. ;-)
And as for World War 3, let’s get it on.
Ya know, that thingy thar, can fly in space too.
