President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes that Trump should interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, in a reversal of his previous statements on the topic.
“I guess I’d rather do the interview. It gets it over with it, it makes my client happy,” Giuliani told The Washington Post. “The safe course you hear every lawyer say is don’t do the interview, and that’s easy to say in the abstract. That’s much harder when you have a client who is the president of the United States and wants to be interviewed.”
Giuliani has cast doubt on Trump interviewing with Mueller in the past. He told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Tuesday that if he were to make a decision on the interview in that moment, he would decide against it.
The former New York City mayor told The Post in the new interview that Trump has vacillated over whether or not he wants to interview with Mueller in the probe.
“There have been a few days where he says, ‘maybe you guys are right,’” Giuliani said, referring to members of Trump’s legal team who have warned him against talking with Mueller.
“Then he goes right back to, ‘why shouldn’t I?’” he added.
He also said that he was concerned that a Trump interview with Mueller could be set up to catch the president on a possible perjury charge because “truth is relative.”
“They may have a different version of the truth than we do,” Giuliani said.

No, it is simply this:
He took away a bargaining chip Trump had. Trump can play/string along people until the very end. There is profit in that, if one is patient and diligent. Trump could uncover a bunch more by playing them and still cancel the minute before the interview.

What the hell does Giuliani bring to the table?
His very first appearance as President Trump’s attorney was on Sean Hannity’s TV show. It was a disaster and his “lawyering” has been downhill from there.
I like me some optimism… Because I feel the same.
Even if Mueller said Trump told him that his car is red, but the registration said it was ‘crimson,’ his pathetic ‘obstruction of justice charge’ would go nowhere. Mueller would get crushed by public opinion.
Chances are a still small that Trump talks to Mueller. So yes it’s rope a dope.
Giuliani should retire... He’s lost a step
Trump should go in to talk with Mueller, walk in, sit down, & say “You’re Fired”.
They could even make a show about it.
Moreover, Trump will propose something that seems to go against his grain or his best interests, but he’s really using tactics to get his opponent(s) talking looking for an opening that he can exploit.

President Trump will NEVER talk to Mueller.
