President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he believes that Trump should interview with special counsel Robert Mueller, in a reversal of his previous statements on the topic.
“I guess I’d rather do the interview. It gets it over with it, it makes my client happy,” Giuliani told The Washington Post. “The safe course you hear every lawyer say is don’t do the interview, and that’s easy to say in the abstract. That’s much harder when you have a client who is the president of the United States and wants to be interviewed.”
Giuliani has cast doubt on Trump interviewing with Mueller in the past. He told the Wall Street Journal in an interview published Tuesday that if he were to make a decision on the interview in that moment, he would decide against it.
The former New York City mayor told The Post in the new interview that Trump has vacillated over whether or not he wants to interview with Mueller in the probe.
“There have been a few days where he says, ‘maybe you guys are right,’” Giuliani said, referring to members of Trump’s legal team who have warned him against talking with Mueller.
“Then he goes right back to, ‘why shouldn’t I?’” he added.
He also said that he was concerned that a Trump interview with Mueller could be set up to catch the president on a possible perjury charge because “truth is relative.”
“They may have a different version of the truth than we do,” Giuliani said.

This means they are closer to firing Mueller than we thought. The only way you say this is to deflect from the fact that Mueller won’t be there anymore to interview the president.
Rudy said he’d have the Mueller thing wrapped up in a week or two. That was over a month ago.

Is there ANYONE, any lawyer worth his salt, who would advise Trump regarding the CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES in all of this???????
Where is the constitutional support for a “Special Counsel”?
1) If there is reasonable suspicion (RS) or probable cause (PC) of impeachable misconduct or crimes of a high government official, then Congress is in charge of that process and they should hire THEIR OWN investigators that report to CONGRESS.
2) If there is reasonable suspicion (RS) or probable cause (PC) of misconduct or federal crimes of lower government officials or citizens, then the FBI should pursue their normal process of investigation and indictment.
In this case, with RS or PC of the FBI misconduct, then the first alternative listed should be used and Congress should hire THEIR OWN investigators that report to Congress.
If he does it, do it on the same grounds Comey interviewed the Pantsuit Princes: not under oath, with no tape recorders or witnesses who can later leak.
With a prewritten memo that exonerates him.

What do you all think the Flynn stuff is about? The Flynn set up is being exposed. Mueller gets one chance - with Trump - to do the right thing. Or Mueller goes down hard, very hard. They’re giving Mueller a path out the box of his own making. Mueller gets to exonerate Trump, or he enters Hell without a paddle.
They’re boxed (the SC) and sword is hanging by a thread over their heads. Giuliani isn’t going limp, the Trump team is going for the kill. Mueller behaves or he spends his life in jail. Mueller knows it.
This is just Rudy messing with Meuller — see how things go, and then if they go bad he’ll change his mind. It’s good PR to say Trumps wants to testify... and then demand conditions and if Meuller disagrees then that makes him look unfair.

So Trump called Rudy in and sat him down and told him: “ Rudy, I know you are out there trying to help me but listen up. I have this plan that is going to work if and when Mueller calls me in and I need you to back off right now a little so my plan to screw these Deep State morons can happen.
Wondering if one of the Mueller operatives gave Giuliani an offer he couldn’t refuse.

I’ll not waste time criticizing Rudy or Trump or debating if Trump should or should not. This is all pure speculation.
I’ll wait till after the deed is done. If it is done. If it works out - great. If not, then oh well.
