Raging insanity out there with lust leading to murder.
The sexually obsessed can end up killing themselves and or others.
God help folks out there to find some sanity in the midst of the insanity around them like this.
I was once told “you can’t reason with insanity”.
I guess that’s where Smith and Wesson, Glock, etc. etc. come into the picture when the insane people resort to violence.
A society that embraces hedonistic debauchery spawns lunatics with no moral compass. Therapy and gun control will not stop these deranged maniacs. Instead it is necessary to arm and train personnel and have tactical planning to deal with these lunatics. Also when these lunatics start shooting , the response must be definitive. They should not be allowed to surrender. This Texas murderer is likely to be released from prison before he is forty five under current law.
NOT everybody gets a trophy like when the younger kids all get trophies. Hard to deal with loss or rejection if you never experience it.
another incel?
Y’all can see where this is going, can’t you?
“We have to stop the white man’s ‘Toxic Masculinity’, and make feminists out of their boys”.
So this obviously well-raised young lady was pressured by this smelly nut for 4 months*, and when she finally (rightfully) goes off on him, he kills her a few days later.
Friggin’ incels!
*If she wasn’t well-raised, she would have gone off on him much sooner. :-)
We must return to institutionalizing the psychotic among us, including psychotic juveniles. They do not have to be madhouses as in the 19th century, but society must separate such people from itself if it ever wants to continue in relative freedom.
” ... private message to the Los Angeles Times on Facebook.”
Yeah, nothing is more private than a FB message to the LA Times.
I saw this earlier and wondered how a parent could immediately turn to FB when her child is killed. I’d assume fetal position and stay there for a few decades. Last thing I would think of is hitting Facebook. But, mercifully, I’ve never been and hope never to be, in that position, so I shouldn’t judge .. it just seems so strange.
What did she say to him?
Pretty obviously it was related. The shooting was just one week later.
I know, there is no excuse for what happened. I get that. But it seems related.
What was it, she said to him?
Anyone know?
Oh for the delicate manners of old! She could have saved herself and all the others. Not that I’m blaming her of course. I am sick over this whole thing.
In my teens, I had my share of rejection by the ladies, but it never entered into my mind to kill anyone as a result of the rejection. I just learned from the experience and moved on. None of my friends entertained the notion of going on a murder spree because a girl rejected their advances, or because anyone teased them.
This kid had it all over his own FB page. A pic of himself saying ‘born to kill’ wore a weird trench coat to school and black boots to class every day, reminiscent of Columbine crap. Stole his fathers guns to do it.
Where were his parents in all of this? Did they not notice their sons behavior? How is it the father had the guns out and available?
Well, he didn’t get a date with the girl so he killed her.
Well, he might find he gets plenty of ‘dates’ where he IS going.
I don’t know what the careful response might be. It bears some thinking about. Humiliation in front of his friends can be horrible. A comedian once made a joke against someone who spoke out from the audience and he committed suicide. And there was a young man at Rutgers who did the same when his roommate took pix of him and posted them.
I’m thinking in terms of intervention by a skilled teen counselor, quietly and in private. Could be a way to get him into the therapy he obviously needed too. It’s certainly as important as talking someone down from a window ledge.
The self-esteem movement has come home to roost. In checking out more information about this ill conceived movement, I came across this story:
Her son had decided to clean his room (a shock in and of itself) and he had come to his trophies and ribbons. His mom arrived to see that he had created two piles: one large and one small.
“What are the different piles?”
Pointing to the small pile, he said, “those are the awards from the tournaments and meets that I won.” He then dismissively pointed at the larger pile, “those are the ones I got just for showing up. I am throwing them away.”
The results of the self-esteem movement is a person may never get the learning skills to be a loser until they are jolted by the real world. It is a recipe for narcissism that thinks life is an entitlement whether they are skilled or unskilled. Some become snowflakes unable to cope and some may become narcissist who think the world would be a much better place if it revolved around them. And when they think it doesnt, they lash out aggressively.
Here is a illuminating analysis of self-esteem by “Scientific American” that explains how narcissism can be created when the self-esteem movement is done wrong:

They need to take school shooters like this ( the ones that don’t shoot themselves first ) and erct a gallows over pond full of crocadiles. Swing the perp with just enough to give him half a minute of good choke . Then cut the rope and let him drop into the hungry crocs. If this is the penalty , all school shootings will stop
Great post and thread. A very interesting piece to the puzzle of the mind of an individual.
Some of the rest of the story ALERT/BUMP!
The kid is just as guilty as Cruz, but actually, though he seems to be wrong in other ways, but not as merely crazy as Cruz, for in Cruz no logical motive seems evident.
