Yeah, nothing is more private than a FB message to the LA Times.
I saw this earlier and wondered how a parent could immediately turn to FB when her child is killed. I’d assume fetal position and stay there for a few decades. Last thing I would think of is hitting Facebook. But, mercifully, I’ve never been and hope never to be, in that position, so I shouldn’t judge .. it just seems so strange.
When my son was hit by a car, I wrote a FB post and asked my friends to pray for him. We were driving to the hospital. I think I also wrote onyx on FR at the same time. It took us almost 45 minutes to get to the hospital in heavy morning traffic.
But I don’t think I would have spoken to media via Facebook. Ugh.
This stood out as a red flag more than anything else in the article.
Next question--did the mother have a conversation via telephone or in person with the boy's parents about the unrequited pursuit of the daughter? Pretty safe bet the answer is NO.
