A viral social media post by New York-based media personality Shaun King sparked an internal investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety in Ellis County on Sunday.
The post claimed a DPS trooper sexually assaulted a female who was arrested at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday for allegedly driving while intoxicated. It also stated the officer told the female he would shoot her fiancé and claim he was armed.
However, the Texas DPS refutes the allegations.
Upon learning of the allegations today, the department immediately took action to review the dash cam video, stated Lonny Haschel, Texas DPS staff lieutenant, to the Daily Light via email. The video shows absolutely no evidence to support the serious accusations against the trooper during the DWI arrest of the suspect.
Haschel added the department would present the video to the Ellis County District Attorneys Office to determine if any further action is needed. DPS will release the video if there is no objection by Ellis County District Attorney Patrick Wilson.

Copcams. Good for good cops. Bad for bad cops.
BLM?
Not yet . . .
Social activist with Daily Kos and BLM. Not exactly sterling in their accurate portrayal of events.
How many lies is Shaun King on record for so far in his career?
Yes. The cams should ALWAYS be on to protect the good cops and provide evidence against any corrupt cops.
Well, he lies about being black for one. I’m sure the rest is a lot.
Talcum X grasping for attention.
Yup. “Talcum X” his own self. Second or third hand info?
That’s what I thought.
King looks like Dan Bongino with a goatee. She looks like my former girlfriend, but not half as smart.

I say BS if this fool is involved.
There need to civil consequences for people, and journalists, to make criminal accusations publicly that can be demonstrably proven false.
For instance, if this turns out to be your typical BLM bullshit accusation, the lawyer who made the accusation and the initial media “leaker” should be subject to full legal discovery as to the origins of the communication (no first Amendment or privileged communication protection for lies and slander), and the besmirched individuals (cop and his department each) should be entitled to financial damage awards as well as reimbursement of legal fees if exonerated.
