Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway has been vocal in denouncing White House leakers over the past few days following the controversy over the comments made by aide Kelly Sadler about Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in a closed-door meeting.
Conway has told Martha MacCallum that she expects the leaks will result in personnel changes. And now, Conway says shes getting close to identifying those responsible.
Thursday on the Fox & Friends morning program, guest host Abby Huntsman asked Conway if shes pinpointed the leakers.
Somewhat, yes, Conway said.
The White House counselor went on to say that some higher-ups are involved.
Theyre not all in the press and comms shop, Conway said of the leakers. And theyre not all junior folks. I mean, lets be very honest here. Hundreds and hundreds of people work on this complex. A lot of people have access to sensitive information.
Conway went on to suggest that this White House is about to become a lot more secretive.
I think smaller, tighter meetings are always a better idea, Conway said. Youre just telling people on need-to-know basis.

You need to think of this in a different way...
When you think you have leak you have to use some different strategies to find out all the players in the chain....
So you selectively share information with a select set of people, each isolated with the requirement that the info is classified as need to know or whatever you choose. Then you step back and see where it goes. The message needs to be worded in such a fashion so that the source is identifiable by certain attributes of the information. Then you watch and see where it flows down the chain to see just who the players are until it gets out...
Now you know who is in this little clique or deliberate entity and cut them off.
Seems like a lengthy process I know but this is why turnover in Trumps cabinet happens, the nature of Washington is such that this is the way business has been conducted far too long and why he favors military personnel versus civilians or politicians in his inner circle
Why is she wasting the News with this Crap when the Five FBI Agents sent to London to create a Coup is like, I don’t know, a million times bigger?
And men are as gossipy as women. At times, even more so. Why gossip? To be in front of others and the big cheese. In the end, rats eat the big cheese FIRST, leaving the crumbs to linger last.
Elaine (Seinfeld) said it best when she stated (he’s not ‘sponge worthy’ = *news worthy*)
The men used to be too proud to get caught gossiping. The present of women makes it okay it seems to me.
Once again, dont tell what you are going to do, tell us what you have done. Simply too much posturing and too little action on this topic.
So, a few bureaucrats get transfers and keep their pay grades and pensions. Yawn.
I suspect that this open style is what President Trump likes. More people involved, more “chaos” as some would describe it. In the private sector, President Trump would control the players. However, in our government, he has presumably trusted some to advise him of personnel and he may have become a victim of the “The Establishment” still very much part of The Swamp.
Even good people can catch “Potomac Fever” when they go to work in the White House or Congress.
Media and lobbyists are artful professionals at schmoozing and manipulating (and bribing) people for information. Trusted family and friends might be the ones who reveal their info. Hell, they even will be targeted by professional Intelligence organizations from around the world, using the most sophisticated psychological analysis they can muster.
Some leakers may be hostile moles, but most are probably just people who are not strong (paranoid) enough about being discreet, in this most challenging position.
Ridiculous.
The real difference happened decades ago now and that is when journalism shifted from a Working Joe’s world to one of young and not too smart mandarins. Privileged upper-middle-class grad school dweebs from a weak major, but who love being loved by the Establishment they serve. They actually bought their college propaganda and so see themselves as the white hats—however dark their deeds.
The problem everywhere.
I think the real key is for all staffers to learn to stay away from the media. Many of these leaks occur when a media person, after hours, asserts some outrageous or stupid item in hearing of a person on staff who knows better. They jump in without thinking to mildly correct and boom, they have leaked.
The media have to be understood for the seditious scum they are in truth.
>> Is her hubby the leaker? <<
There goes your sense of humor again?
But in all seriousness, I think there can be little doubt that he’s a big leaker.
What’s more, I’m convinced that Kellyanne feeds him a bunch of stuff to leak.
Heep Big Leaker.
Great post. Whenever I see these girly-boy mandarins I think of the great Charlie MacArthur and Ben Hecht out of Chicago. They really afflicted the comfortable! Neither from rich or particularly educated families.
