Democrats, the mainstream media, and left-wing reporters are twisting President Trumps words in calling MS-13 illegal alien gang members animals. During a roundtable discussion of Californias sanctuary state laws, Fresno Sheriff Margaret Mims mentioned to Trump the difficulty of working with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to notify them of an illegal alien MS-13 gang member.
In response, Trump called the MS-13 gang members animals, as hes done in the past MIMS: There could be an MS-13 gang member, I know about, if they dont reach a threshold, I cannot tell ICE about them. [Emphasis added]
TRUMP: We have people coming into the country theyre trying to come in, were stopping a lot of them but were taking out of the country. You wouldnt believe how bad these people are. These arent people. These are animals. And were taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate thats never happened before. And because of the weak laws, they come in fast, we get them, we release them, we get them again, we bring them out. Its crazy. The dumbest laws, as I said before, the dumbest laws on immigration in the world. So were going to take care of it. Well get it done. [Emphasis added]
Following the statement by Trump, the Daily Beast published a headline that claimed the president was referring to some deported immigrants when he called MS-13 gang members animals.
Neoconservative Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin attacked Trumps Evangelical supporters, posting a link to a report by The Hill which claimed the president called all illegal aliens animals.

Apologies are due to every zoo.
Well said.
For perspective on where you’re coming from with your post, I looked up some of your old posts and gathered the following:
*You weren’t ‘really expecting Trump to win’ - he did
*You didn’t like PC and you called it out - now you expect Trump to be PC when he calls out evil
*You didn’t want a pious president - such as Ted Cruz - who was ‘off-putting’ to you because he thought he did “the REAL Christian thing” - now you seem disappointed that we don’t have President Evangelist
So today you’re complaining about the things you previously said you wanted. You say you changed because you’re now a parent. Most of us are parents (and grandparents) as well, and our children are our priority.
Yet, we believe President Trump is doing an amazing job. And I’ve never seen anyone post concerns that we now have to explain porn to our babies. Ridiculous!
At any rate, one of your gripes is that President Trump said MS-13 members are animals, and this is somehow dehumanizing language in your mind?
If you’re going to raise your children in this world, you’d best get reengaged and snap out of it - whether you support President Trump now, or you never did...
MS-13 members are evil savages.
Look up some reports of what they’ve done, then pray your children never encounter anyone like them.
The first time I ever heard the name MS-13 was when gang members poured flammable liquid down a teenaged girl’s throat and set her on fire.
That is an act of the demon possessed. They are unrepentant reprobates - laughing about their evil acts.
I noticed one FReeper’s comment to you and have to wonder if he was on to something:
“You again. Always the first to throw fuel on the fire in every thread. I think youre a troll.”
Well, there’s also a difference between Christian and Christianized. The former might be praying how to evangelize the savages. The latter, arguing what the veneer looks like and about whether to use Lemon Pledge or Old English on it.
This MS-13 is what you’d expect out of “sitters in the seat of scoffers.” It becomes a contest for how mean one can get. And it’s a crying irony for a group of people (twisted however they be) that identify with a country whose name is “The Saviour” in Spanish.
Calling them animals is perhaps in the vein of the “wild beasts” that Paul reported fighting at Ephesus. The question for a devoted Christian is how, if at all possible, to pluck some out of the fire. It won’t be spiritually easy. It will get the missionary effort a faceful of Satan.
Honestly, I can’t say for sure that there isn’t at least one that can be reached. Only God knows. But it would definitely take someone specifically called as a missionary.
All I know is I want justice for their victims.
So for Nancy, an MS-13 gang member has a “spark of divinity”, but a baby in the womb? Meh, just a blob of cells.
