DIRTY COP STEPS FORWARD – Admits Leaking Michael Cohen’s Bank Records
The Gateway Pundit ^ | May 16, 2018 | Cristina Laila

On April 9, 2018 FBI agents raided the office of one of Trump’s personal lawyers Michael Cohen at the request of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Michael Cohen is President Trump’s personal attorney. The Mueller mob took all of his records and emails.

One month later — Cohen’s financial documents are leaked to the porn star’s shady attorney.

The Treasury Department’s inspector general is investigating how Stormy Daniels’s lawyer Michael Avenatti obtained confidential banking records concerning a company controlled by President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen.

Now this…

A law enforcement official has admitted to leaking Cohen’s bank records.

The name of the leaker is being withheld from the public.

The New Yorker reported:

--

Trial lawyer Robert Barnes weighed in with his prediction:

As forecast, Avenatti obtained his information through an illegal, CRIMINAL LEAK by someone now identified as a “law enforcement official.” Given this source both knew about bank transactions and had access to a government database, this is highly likely either #SDNY or #Mueller. https://t.co/cuReeYc2qn

Good night to you too.

I’m about ready to crash too.

I was reluctant to post this late at night. Sometimes they don’t get activity. In reflection I am glad I did no this one.

Somebody told him it needed to be leaked and he’d get protection if he did it. That somebody could be anybody at SDNY or even at the FBI, but the revelation serves to make a vanishingly weak link between Cohen and The Russians. They’re grasping at straws.

If this has anything to do with Weiner and the laptop, I’m also wondering if NYPD is covertly putting some pressure on someone. If I’m not mistaken, they’re are the ones that got into his laptop and found the classified stuff. Then, miraculously, Weiner takes a plea and nothing ever comes of the emails.

If anyone thinks those folks didn’t make copies of the emails and/or the entire hard drive, for evidentiary reasons, I have a bridge to sell you that connects lower Manhattan to Brooklyn.

I read the article and the leaker’s reason made no sense whatsoever.

“Somebody told him it needed to be leaked and he’d get protection if he did it. That somebody could be anybody at SDNY or even at the FBI,”

That explanation makes sense. Do you suppose he actually is protected? SDNY and Mueller could have given him immunity, I suppose.

Or is he out on a limb all by himself?

If these files magically show up, I wonder what will have been added to them, for effect. Trust NOTHING the FBI handles until that fen is drained.

They don't appear to fear spending big time in jail.

Big time in jail? These ass hats 🎩 don’t fear ANY time in jail. I am so totally cynical of the government, that I don’t think ANY scum bag will ever be held accountable, for anything.

Only speculation here, but his story stinks. That he found two entries in the seized files that didn't appear in a federal database and so decided to go public with the thing? What on earth for, unless he was directed to do so by someone with an ulterior motive? What anyone normal would do is see that the documents were entered properly into the database, not shout it to the world through the media.

So my guess is that the individual is right to be nervous, because he's dispensable. Somebody thought this would be advantageous against Trump. and he's left holding the bag for it. I don't feel sorry.

No, of course not. He must have done it for money or for a debt he owes. Either way motive was bad.

Hope he’s taken precautions and left secure files of his own.

I find it eerie that one of Trump’s arch-enemies, Eric Scneiderman, was taken down by Ronan Farrow on May 7th, then just over a week later he comes out with another big scoop involving shenanigans in the investigation of Cohen.

If you toss the Weiner document into the mix, it’s a lot coincidence.

Typically, law enforcement databases have a complete audit trail, that will lead back to whoever the leaker is. They know time and date or the period over which he was poking around, and they’d know who did any searches for that particular individual’s records.

The proper action upon discovering info missing is to notify up the chain of command, not to download documents and hand them out to the press, so the excuse for releasing the other document doesn’t hold water. There’s one reason that’s a possibility for not following protocol, though. If the party who discovered the documents missing was making an unauthorized search, he/she would be admitting a potential firing offense by reporting it. If we discover the party handing out the document was a lawyer who refuses to identify the client who gave it to him, we can be pretty sure of that.

That was my guess when notice of the records first came out and BEFORE he resigned. He has the means to obtain everything.....and I believe it was AFTER the case went to the SD of NY.

The New Yorker abuse story was a way to get him the hell out of office.....ASAP.

Let’s see... suppose the “sar” documents were not in the database because they did not exist. Then suppose some deep state operative created incriminating documents to frame Cohen (or his clients). And then, because it would look suspicious for documents to suddenly appear and be entered into the database weeks later, someone was tasked with leaking the forgeries to the press, along with some story about how the documents were never properly recorded.

The gullible liberal media and its supporters would eat this up and fall all over themselves to believe the narrative.
