In March 2017, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) successfully delayed for 11 days Senate ratification of Montenegro's entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). America's leading advocate for NATO expansion, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) responded by accusing Paul of "achieving the objectives of Vladimir Putin...of trying to dismember this small country."
"I repeat again," McCain said then, remarkably. "The senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin."
Perhaps even more remarkably, though not very surprisingly, McCain is unapologetic about that accusation in his valedictory new memoir, The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations. "Senator Paul didn't appreciate that, and I'll grant that it was an intemperate thing to say," McCain writes, with co-author Mark Salter. "But it wasn't incorrect. He might not have worked wittingly for Putin, but he was doing exactly what the Russian wanted done."

Any chance McCain will come clean and admit that he’s part of the shadow government trying to take down a duly-elected President and that he was involved in the fake dossier and also that he’s an operative for the Clintons?
Before his last day, I mean.
Hahahahahaha just joking. I crack myself up.
At least you know where Rand Paul stands. McCain ALWAYS campaigns as the conservative, then becomes the “Maverick”. You know Paul is going to be the Libertarian. Sometimes you like that, sometimes you don’t. But, he sticks to what he says, unlike McCain.
Also re Rand ... I believe he bases his support or opposition to Trump genuinely based on his positions on specific issues and, completely unlike McCain, not at all based on any comments from Trump that he had to endure during the campaign.
Rand has let those go, as anyone else should. That’s what often happens in campaigns, and if you’re not a child, then you let it go once the elections are over.
He just cannot help himself. Meanwhile, the vultures are circling around Kelly Sadler.*
*I think she should apologize, but the double standard is obvious wrt the media.
McStain has probably already been dead for a month and all this contrived BS is coming from his leftist staff.
Not dead yet..........
It is excerpts from his forthcoming book, not McCain making actual statements now. However, you are right that most terminal patients are struggling to get through the time they have left and are probably focused on what they believe comes after death.
I would think he would have someone close to him to shut him up.
I mean, if he has had brain surgery, radiation, chemo, all that, his mental capacity could clearly be impaired.
I detest the man and what he has stood for. But it would be a human kindness to have someone take away or monitor his phone and email in some fashion.
I really believe he is mentally impaired. People with brain injury (from trauma, surgery, etc) can lose inhibition and filter.
None of us would be surprised at all to hear this vile pap issue forth from him five years ago, we have long since concluded that this is who the man is. But you would think his family or friends would want to protect him.
Unless, of course, they are using him.
Agreed.
COULDN’T care less! /grammar nazi
Bury McCain in Syria with full ISIS honors.
Sorry John...You’ve lost it.
John, please suspend your campaign, AGAIN.
I really hate McQueeg. He just needs to die already and shut the eff up
Go away. Shut up McTraitor you are dying anyway.
It’s not incorrect to say that John McCain personally met with Islamic terrorists for the purpose of arming them.
John you have a plane to catch. Can you wrap this up by the weekend?
Who would buy this dead ender’s book. As soon as he is gone he will be erased from everyone’s collective memory primarily because after all those years in politics I cannot think of one accomplishment. The Keating scandal is what he will be known for and constantly trying to plaster his media whore face on every screen
And now McCain, by undercutting the President and his nation, is doing the same.
