I actually think that [preaching is] one of the main things that could actually break through on this issue. One of the ways that we could break through on this issue is if people really start to think deeply on another level about it; on a moral and spiritual level and are moved from a different kind of place to take action, to raise it with their elected representatives, to make it inform their individual choices but also our political agenda, to be constantly saying, why are we building up more fossil fuels? Why don't we switch to a new renewable energy? Gore told PJM following a discussion at the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace and World Affairs at Georgetown University on Monday evening.

Most of today’s conservative theologians are at a sticking point — what to do with the creation account. They’ve marched one way, secular science has marched in a different direction. If parties could even agree to factor out Darwinian evolution as the most significant factor in the creation process — and there are copious logical reasons to do that — one would still have a giant chasm.
While I have some private theories about it, mostly along the lines of day-age creation account theology with some general relativity included, I don’t make a big noise about it for fear of creating more offense than it is worth.
I can comment this: people who are great sticklers for the bible still won’t get very far until they have experienced the presence and work of the living God. And I’ve seen that play out in realms other than science. Science is just one special case.
Everyone who believes CO2 is a dangerous pollutant should cease emitting it personally immediately.
