Democrats routinely express outrage over claims of collusion with a foreign power to undermine our democracy. So where is the outrage over revelations that former secretary of state John Kerry held not one but three secret meetings with Iran's foreign minister to strategize over how to undermine President Trump's plans to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal?
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman confirmed the meetings after the Boston Globe broke the news, declaring,.. "We don't see the U.S. just as Mr. Trump; the United States is not just the current ruling administration." ..Think about what this means. ..Iran is a terrorist state responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans in Iraq, whose leaders hold rallies where thousands chant "Death to America!".. Kerry was working with a sworn enemy of the United States to try to undermine the foreign policy of the elected president of the United States.
I thought we didn't like Americans who 'colluded' with our enemies.
Kerry's meetings with Iran's leaders were not isolated incidents, but part of a formal lobbying campaign that included phone calls with European Union leaders and meetings with the presidents of Germany and France in which, the Globe reports, he discussed "the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.
the Logan Act, which says: "Any citizen of the United States ... who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government ... with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government ... in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."

Ha! I just basically posted this question on another thread.
This is a double win for the left.
At the same time as they are pressing their interests by violating our laws, they are destroying the rule of law itself because we are not enforcing it.
My question is. If this action truly goes against the Logan Act why has NO ONE taken action? What good is a law or an established act is it is not reinforced? And at one point do we quit talking about it and see the law enforced in this country? If people think there is no repercussion (i.e. media, Democrats) they behave increasingly with impunity and even when it is enforced. But at some point the punishment has to establish the limit as well.
That’s different. Kerry is a sophisticated Democrat who wouldn’t THINK of putting ketchup on his steak.
Its there, it’s just been muted by the mainstream media. We should be used to the “quiet” by now.
It’s OK for them, not for us. When Republicans do it, it’s called “collusion”. When Democrats do it, it’s called “reaching out”.

AG Jeff Sessions (and his staff) should be drawing up charges against those who violate US Laws like the Logan Act - but we’ve heard not a peep from him!

Patience. Not always a good thing to pick them off one by one when you can bring the entire deck of cards down.
Democrats can get away with murder but if Republicans fart, then there is a special council in the wings just waiting to kick in.
One thing Republicans do have is a sense of timing when to release the documents from the DOJ & FBI of the criminal atrocities of the Democrats... it will be drip, drip, drip till Nov and then the big stuff will come out and regular Democrats will be so horrified that they’ll never vote for their party again.
Wait and see....you know it’s not over til the fat lady sings.....the battle is still ongoing.
