White House chief of staff John Kelly said in an interview set to air Saturday that the majority of people who enter the U.S. illegally do not “assimilate” easily into modern American society.
“The vast majority of the people that move illegally into the United States are not bad people … but they’re also not people that would easily assimilate into the United States into our modern society,” Kelly told NPR.

100% true. There are many Guatemalans in our area with two stores of their own which are mainly for selling candles and shipping money back home. They use our schools but do not assimilate at all. The ones working here either dig clams or pick brush which with their average IQ of 70 can easily be done. They also do yard work and demand $20 per hour. I get high school football players that work hard for half of that - and they speak English.
Then, they are defended by 99.9% of the dems, the MSM, other bleeding heart types. There is no expectation for them to “assimilate”. They have no motive to do so.

Apparently my credit union received complaints about pushing 1 for English, so they changed their message about 6 months ago.
Now the automated message says, “For English, please remain on the line.”
Then it goes on to speak in Spanish while English speaking customers have to hold! Makes me so angry!
For several decades in the mid-1990’s immigration was shut down primarily due to lack of assimilation. We shut it down until they decided to buy into the American way.
Now taxpayers have to pay for translators for all languages.
Don't you guys have a towing service out there? When I've lived in northeastern cities, the parking tow businesses were booming. Owners of private parking spaces pay a monthly fee and get to post a metal sign giving the name and address of the towing business—so that rogue parkers will know where to go to pick up their car, and pay a fine.

They all do that now. Really pisses me off. They give you the English spiel and then immediately, with no warning, goes into the Spanish spiel so you have to listen to the whole thing in Spanish. Then says hold on for English.
No marketable skills, not being able to read nor write in English and not able to speak English is a formula/blue print of economical failure in America or any country the immigrant is.
