“True, otherwise no one would ever have to push ‘1’ for English!”

Apparently my credit union received complaints about pushing 1 for English, so they changed their message about 6 months ago.

Now the automated message says, “For English, please remain on the line.”

Then it goes on to speak in Spanish while English speaking customers have to hold! Makes me so angry!

They all do that now. Really pisses me off. They give you the English spiel and then immediately, with no warning, goes into the Spanish spiel so you have to listen to the whole thing in Spanish. Then says hold on for English.
