The Democrats thought they were on an unstoppable trajectory to consolidate unlimited power. So of course they wanted to remove any obstacles to that goal.

The Democrats thought the GOP would never regain control of the Senate.

And they’d be able to block anything Trmp proposed.

What will they be able to do when the GOP has 60 seats in the upper chamber?

Schadenfreude! Mitch McConnell would never haved repealed the filibuster confirmation rule.

Harry Reid unintentionally turned out to be the GOP’s best friend.

That’s why the federal courts are now being filled with conservatives and all Democrats can do is stew and watch.

I say shove it mercilessly down their collective throats until they choke and die politically speaking, of course.

This issue alone may be the biggest reason for Republican voters to show up in force to protect the GOP Senate majority this fall. Democratic control of the Senate calendar would likely result in this flood of confirmations slowing to a relative trickle,

No idea who is stressing about the Senate going Diem, but anyone who does is silly. The Senate is most likely going to go +7 to +9 for the GOP in November. 23 Dem seats are up for grabs, and only 11 GOP seats. President Trump won 11 of those Dem states. Hillary won only 1 of the 11 GOP states. Current polling, even by the Lefty outlets, has the Senate going +7, meaning 58-42 GOP.

Hopefully we get the Limited Government Republicans in those new seats, and not more McConnell twits. But again, fretting over the Senate is either misguided, or just more attempts to motivate GOP turnout for the House and for state seats.

I’m glad the Republicans are using the Harry Reid Rule.

Boo, f’ing hoo! They’re the ones that broke all of the traditions, and now they’re upset about the result? F’em!

The way I see things developing, the Pubbies will gain about 5 seats in the Senate and lose at most 5 in the House (with a chance of winning seats). Trump will handily win re-election (maybe even in a real landslide if the economy keeps going, the NK thing ends well, and the Dems continue to act like retarded 5-year-olds). WRT judicial nominees, by the end of his 2nd term, there will be basically no vacancies - its just not his style to leave a bunch of loose ends, nor to allow the next guy to dismantle his legacy.
