Telling Russia special counsel Robert Mueller to wrap up his investigation is not up to Vice President Mike Pence, says Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
"That's not Vice President Pence's decision to make," Graham told CNN on Thursday. "I'm sure Mr. Mueller will wrap it up when it gets time to wrap it up."
Earlier in the day, Pence told NBC that a year into Mueller's inquiry, during which the administration has provided more than 1 million documents, it would be "in the interest of the country I think its time to wrap it up."
And I would very respectfully encourage the special counsel and his team to bring their work to conclusion," Pence added.
Mueller's team is looking into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. President Trump has repeatedly assailed the probe as a "witch hunt."
"The only thing I can say is I haven't seen any evidence of collusion," said Graham, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is also looking into Russian interference. "Mr. Mueller has a good reputation. We'll see what his report says and where he goes, but in the system you can't have the people being investigated tell you to wrap it up."
If a couple of the cases are dismissed due to lack of evidence or lack of a real crime that would help.
The Concord Management case for example... hoping to see that blow up...
That could just as easily be handled by Sessions. It doesn’t involve Trump. Same with Manafort.
And Papadopoulos and Flynn have already pled. Mueller himself farmed out Cohen to the DOJ proper. The whole thing looks like it’s over to me. But Trump’s not in a position to declare it over, and neither is Pence. They need some of the members of Congress to put the pressure on Mueller to bring it to a close. They need Graham and others to start talking about how it looks like he’s exhausted his efforts, and should think about bringing it to a close.
Or, failing that, PDT is impeached, making Pence president and giving him the power to fire Mueller.
Sometimes losing gets in the way of even more losing.
Hey, Linda: Pence only respectfully requested that the investigation be ended...he didn’t demand anything.
Why don’t you try imitating what John McCain is going to sound like soon, and STFU?
Whatever Disney Princess...
V.P. Pence can voice his opinion, Linda.
My opinion Sen. Graham is that Mueller can go and reproduce asexually.
With his thirteen democrat lawyers.

In fact, I would love to see Concord Management strenuously object to any attempt to drop the charges -- until AFTER they've gone through a full discovery process and obtained every document they've requested from Mueller's team.
Pence isn’t being investigated.
“Whos going to tell Lindsey what to say when McCains gone?”
Hopefully McCain will send him a postcard that says “Wish you were here”.
Hey Linda; that D behind your name...
It’s time to disclose how much this has cost the taxpayer.
Remember Graham is a lawyer.
Lindsay is correct. Its not pences decision. Its Trumps decision. And if trump doesnt end the mueller farce soon it will destroy his presidency imho
Don’t worry Linda, Pence like Sessions is only paying lip service to wrapping up the mueller coup. Both want it to continue.
Well, duh, Miss Lindsey. Pence didn’t decree an end to the investigation; it was a suggestion.
Don’t be so bitchy. Midol is cheap at Walmart.
Shove it, Graham.
Did it ever occur to Linda that Pence has just as much right to tell Mueller to wrap it up as he (she?) to insist that it continue?
Graham needs to be gone from the Republican Party. He’s friendless now except for his buddies in the ComDem party.
“And if trump doesnt end the mueller farce soon it will destroy his presidency imho”
You’re right but it maybe too late. If I were Trump I would drop the hammer anyways. Fire Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller yesterday. Scratch that—round them up in the dead of the night and send them to Gitmo.
Majority of the GOP want impeachment as much as the DNC.
He needs a reminder who was elected nationwide and who is just a Gamecock.
