I have an outlandish theory that the Trump campaign knew about the surveillance all along, and they used it to their advantage by feeding phony information to the people who had them under surveillance.

It would go a long way toward explaining a lot of curious things about why Trump was able to pull off such a stunning upset in the 2016 election. Just to name a few:

1. Clinton sure didn't campaign like someone who thought it was remotely possible that she might lose.

2. She ignored Wisconsin and practically ignored Michigan and Pennsylvania.

3. She campaigned in places like Texas and Arizona -- which Trump won handily -- in the last days of the campaign.

Great points!

Of course, that implies a lot. But Trump stated early on he “knew” he was under surveillance.

I don't find your theory outlandish in the least. I completely agree with you.

Seriously? Like he could possibly hide polling data in Wisconsin or Michigan?

Hillary lost because she's a f***ing idiot. This electoral college crap isn't hard. Trump's path to a win is pretty much narrowed down to having to pick off some critical states. Block him in any of those, and he's done.

She didn't look at or didn't believe polling information coming out of critical swing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, and so forth. She thought they couldn't possibly vote for Trump because they hadn't voted Republican in a long time.

She was a lazy idiot. It's that simple.
