A new bombshell report reveals that the FBI may have had a mole embedded in the Trump campaign.
In an opinion piece published in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, Kimberly Strassel unpacked some stunning developments in the battle between the Department of Justice and House Intelligence Committee members.
House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, D-Calif., and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., received a classified briefing at the DOJ on Thursday, viewing classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBI probe of the Trump campaign.
According to Strassels Wall Street Journal piece:
The department knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it.
House investigators nonetheless sniffed out a name, and Mr. Nunes in recent weeks issued a letter and a subpoena demanding more details. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosensteins response was to double downaccusing the House of extortion and delivering a speech in which he claimed that declining to open the FBIs files to review is a constitutional duty. Justice asked the White House to back its stonewall. And it even began spinning that daddy of all superspook argumentsthat revealing any detail about this particular asset could result in loss of human lives.
This is desperation, and it strongly suggests that whatever is in these files is going to prove very uncomfortable to the FBI.
Nunes could not view the information because it apparently could risk lives by potentially exposing the source, a U.S. citizen who has provided intelligence to the CIA and FBI, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about, which was bad enough, Strassel noted. Now we find it may have also been rolling out human intelligence, John Le Carré style, to infiltrate the Trump campaign.
I believe I know the name of the informant, but my intelligence sources did not provide it to me and refuse to confirm it, Strassel wrote. It would therefore be irresponsible to publish it.
But what is clear is that weve barely scratched the surface of the FBIs 2016 behavior, and the country will never get the straight story until President Trump moves to declassify everything possible, she concluded. Its time to rip off the Band-Aid.
I’m going with Manafort as the mole.
Kushner ? His own son-in-law ? Highly doubtful
He’s a possibility, but since his name has been unredacted in the DOJ documents I’m assuming he’s not a CIA/FBI asset who the DOJ is trying to hide.

Can Strassel tell us f they refused to deny it was well?
>Treasonous misuse of government.
High crimes and treason.
The Kenyanesian Usurper could not have done what he did without the cooperation of the GOP.

That is a profound truth. Excellent comment.

May be time to "rip off the Band-Aid.
“Who received the spys reports?
Obama and his white house jihadists, Brennan, Clapper and Comey as starters.
If true, someone needs to be tried and hanged....not joking.
From what I’ve read, if Halper is the man, he wasn’t actually embedded IN the campaign, but was trying to manipulate people - such as Papadoupolis - who were in the campaign, or on the fringes of the campaign. It sounds like he was trying to frame them or, at least, get them to perform actions or say things that would justify opening an investigation into the campaign.
Trey had better not disappoint, again.

It would go a long way toward explaining a lot of curious things about why Trump was able to pull off such a stunning upset in the 2016 election. Just to name a few:
1. Clinton sure didn't campaign like someone who thought it was remotely possible that she might lose.
2. She ignored Wisconsin and practically ignored Michigan and Pennsylvania.
3. She campaigned in places like Texas and Arizona -- which Trump won handily -- in the last days of the campaign.
The curtains are about to be drawn back and it will be a whole new world.

I picture flipping on the light in the kitchen in a crummy apartment and several dozen roaches start running every which way.
Most of the libs where I work are mad that this got reveled, and demanding prosecution of the leaker.
Many of those I know who work in Government are defending the mole as an undercover sting.
So who was the first swamp critter to stand next to Trump?
Sessions.
*****************
Sessions’ complicity with the cabal is pretty obvious by now. It appears that he was a Deep State plant from the outset.
If Sessions is not the mole, he is still a person of interest because of his refusal to cooperate or comply with congress’ legitimate requests for information. Sessions is hiding something.
Great points!
Of course, that implies a lot. But Trump stated early on he “knew” he was under surveillance.
This has been a coup since he was nominated.
The only thing left unknown at this point, is whether they will be successful or not.
