Yep, Starbucks just became a homeless shelter. If I’m a paying customer and cannot get into the bathroom because vagrants are tying it up, I’m going to be pissed, pun intended.

My daughter lives in Ballard. The homeless situation there is disgusting. She and her husband are visiting us right now. They are with my wife in Louisville suburbs looking for a home. Yep, They are outa there.
Great, all the progressives and the bums can go to Starbucks. They can all sing kumbaya in the dirty bathrooms.
I’ll grab a great coffee at half the price at my local diner / coffee shop and support my community.

Couple problems here.
First, non-paying customers tend to be, umm, not the most hygenic, even to the point of disgusting ... Starbucks will be doing a lot more bathroom cleaning now ...
Plus, certain non-paying customers like to use the bathroom for non-bathroom activities, like hookers having sex, addicts shooting up or smoking crack, or just sleeping on the floor ... ask any 24-hr McDonalds owner in a big city about late-nite problems
All of which will be a BIG turnoff for those customers that actually pay ... has Starbucks actually thought this through??
Even when they have access to public bathrooms, you would be surprised by how often the homeless relieve themselves in places other than the bathroom.
Having some experience in the retail space, I just know what the average person does to a bathroom so I can only image what a homeless person would do to one. Bottom line: There won’t be usable Starbuck$ bathrooms.
What is it with this Howie Schultz guy? Is he some sort of fascist? I read the whole article, and there was not one mention of Starbucks giving out free coffee.

In related News, Howie will be sending Workmen to every Starbucks Employee’s Home (except his own) to remove the Exterior Doors so the Homeless and Illegal Invaders will have a place to sleep and procreate...
If you’re going to advertise for homeless. Build them a shower and some sort of super fast laundry freshener service, and provide disposable tooth brushes, toothpaste and mouthwash.
This will end well for them (snort).
We may see the end of Starbucks.
