Sarah Palin said Thursday that Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) admission that he regrets picking her as his running mate in his failed 2008 presidential bid is "like a perpetual gut-punch."
The former Republican vice presidential nominee said the senator's recent remarks were "not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he's apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign," she told the Daily Mail before speaking at a pro-Trump PAC fundraiser.
In his upcoming memoir, The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and other Appreciations, the 81-year-old senator laments not selecting former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) as his vice presidential candidate.
McCain still gives Palin high marks for her work on his campaign.
"I attribute a lot of what we're hearing and reading regarding McCain's statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters," Palin told the Daily Mail, saying she would have to hear from McCain herself.
McCain is currently at home in Arizona where he is receiving treatment for brain cancer, but remains a strong voice in the GOP and the Senate where he often criticizes the Trump administration.
oh, f*ck you.
More than a swipe at Palin this is one of his last strikes (like a rattlesnake) at conservatives. He was always a dim at heart and conservatives were always hated by him. He always had to run as a conservative to get elected and has a lot of anger that conservatives have any power. He has only thinly covered that up over the many years. I think Trump being elected, by conservatives angered him as much as any of the in your face lefties. He has far more in common with them than us.
Hey dont worry Sarah, we have your back. That POS asshole is heading to hell anyway.
He doesn’t regret picking Palin. He regrets NOT picking Lieberman because, in his sick, demented mind, he really regrets he lost. That’s all he can think about is that he lost.
He’s no different than Clinton constantly blaming someone else.
I hope he dies soon.
“The former Republican vice presidential nominee said the senator’s recent remarks were “not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, “
What a fine lady you are Sarah. Unfortunately, lying is just one of McSnitch’s defects. He seems to have a penchant for hurting those close to him.
Me too.
“Although I sure wish you would work for Donald Trump.”
Palin lit the fire under this country’s ass that led to Donald Trump. Make sure the left knows that too!!! I remind them as often as I can.
I agree with you though ... I wish she was working for the Trump Administration.
.
Why is McCain whining about his “mistake” in picking Sarah Palin as his running mate?
That whine sounds a lot like the kind that Hillary would make!! PHOOEY!!!!
If it was not for Sarah, McLaim would have lost by way more
He admitted years ago that he got as many votes as he did because of her. He’s such a rat.
me too
“Classy response. More than Songbird deserves.”
I don’t know if he sang or not as a POW but he sure as hell did a snitch with the dossier.
Absolutely, Sarah saved him the embarrassment of a huge loss.
The guy was an assh*** in life and now hes an assh*** in death....big surprise.
How is a man with a brain tumor allowed to make decisions that influence the country?
I don’t have brain tumor/tumors, but I have MS and have brain lesions. There are times when my thinking is impaired. How do they know his brain tumor isn’t affecting his decision making? I guess if it’s in an area that has nothing to do with cognitive issues, it wouldn’t matter. Everyone’s different, but if Mike Pence or the President had a brain tumor...do I believe the Senate would stand behind their continued service? Heck no! Why hasn’t anyone brought up this issue?: I haven[t heard it from the left or right.

After the destruction that Warren accomplished in the SCOTUS, California highways were loaded with cars sporting “Impeach Earl Warren” bumper stickers.
.
She’s the only reason I voted for Juan.
.
DITTO!
.
I was a Democrat until 2008 and Juan McVain was the first Republican presidential candidate I ever voted for, and I held my nose when I did it! I take that back. President Trump was the first GOP presidential candidate I ever voted for. McVain in 2008 and Mittens in 2012 were both the second Democrat candidates in each race!
