I also heard no major complaints from the "Tea Party" crowd about Schneider tenure until Shaw decided he wanted to be Chairman. When he was named chairman originally and when he oversaw the 2016 state party convention, conservatives had nothing but praise for him. I remember when I discussed his election in 2014, not one FReeper balked at the selection or argued that Tim Schneider was a RINO. Everyone thought the selection was a breath of fresh air after years of backstabbing combiners.
But once he was in Shaw's way, suddenly he was a dirty filthy establishment RINO. Again, shades about how no one complained about Mike Enzi until Liz Cheney decided she wanted his senate seat...
