In voter registration? It’s still a big rat edge. Wikipedia has 2014 figures and has nearly half (49%) of WV voters registered rat to 29% GOP. I doubt we’ve overcome that advantage yet though I’m sure there’s been movement.

Voter registration is one the last things to change, you’ve had registered democrats voting straight Republican throughout the South for a while now.

In the Senate primary it was 159,891 rat votes and 136,220 R, which is only a 54-46 rat edge as opposed to the over 3 to 2 rat edge in those 2014 registration figures. Fox had some idiot on who implied it was bad for us that there were more rat votes, clearly he was ignorant of the fact that it’s actually narrowing in our favor.

As WV Nan notes, many of her D friends vote R. They just haven’t change their registration.

I don't think voters register by party in most states. They certainly don't in Illinois.

If you went by number of GOP ballots cast in primary elections vs. number of RAT ballots cast in primary elections, the RATs have a big edge though. I think even traditionally "solidly Republican" countries have a clear majority of RAT primary voters.
