A majority of Americans say special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election is politically motivated, according to a new CBS News poll.
The poll, which comes nearly a year after Mueller’s investigation began, found that 53 percent of people think there are political motives to the investigation, while 44 percent think the investigation is justified.
Despite the perceived partisan motivations, 76 percent said President Trump should still cooperate with the investigation if he’s asked to be interviewed.
That is a drop, however, from January, when 84 percent of respondents said Trump should cooperate with the special counsel.
The drop in agreeing that Trump should cooperate was steepest among Republicans. In January, 73 percent of Republicans backed cooperation with Mueller, but in the latest poll, only 53 percent did so.
Although most Americans think the investigation should continue, the poll found that Republicans say they want their party in Congress to draw the investigation to a close. Most Democrats and independents still want Congress to allow the investigation to continue.
The poll randomly surveyed 1,101 adults via telephone between May 3-6. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Only 53% believe that? That leaves 47%. There’s Romney’s 47%, again.
Since Clinton, I think the collective IQ of this nation has dropped 40 points.
47% are mind-numbed robots who are hopelessly addicted to the government dole and would vote for a three-legged pig if he promised to keep their checks coming.
The majority is right in this case.
44% think the investigation is justified. A few percent had no opinion/ didn’t know.
Unlike the Democrats, the GOPe in Congress want a fig leaf excuse to impeach/remove. If too many people (maybe 60% of “adults”) don’t buy it, Mueller is done.

Which means it much much much worse for the Democrat smear machine they they are indicating with voters.
That sort of “any adult’ polling isn’t used by any serious polling outfit because “any adult” polls usually result in the respondent simply repeated the latest head line they last heard. Fake Media loves this sort of polling because it usually gives them a result that is driven by their own media narrative.
This would indicate the counter attack by the Trump team is seriously damaging the Muller clown shows credibility with voters.
.... and that’s just a poll of adults, not likely voters.

The career pest, Mueller’s, long past running out his fifteen minutes. He should sit the F down and shut the F up.
