From the sound of it, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) is currently on his deathbed in Arizona to meet with old friends, nurse grudges, and express regrets.

McCain’s public expression of regret against Palin comes off as ungracious, as well as further proof that he still does not understand why his own presidential campaign failed.
Over the last decade, Palin has been unfailingly loyal to McCain. Despite the malicious leaks against her that came from his own campaign surrogates, despite unrelenting personal attacks from McCain’s own daughter Meghan, Palin has never spoken ill of the elder McCain. She has always and only expressed gratitude and respect, even as McCain’s family and immediate subordinates (all of whom were seeking favor from the media hoping to be rewarded with careers) savaged her purely for mercenary purposes.
Within this context, McCain kicking Palin from his deathbed, when he knows it would be impossible for her to defend herself, edges into an act of dishonorable cruelty on his part.

From the Tea Party to Trump, the GOP has not been the same since Palin strode into the spotlight, and now it is hardly recognizable from the calcified dinosaur McCain loved so. If that is what he regrets, that is a real shame, because on top of his military career, choosing Sarah Palin was the greatest service McCain ever performed for his country.

No he doesn’t. His advisers twisted his arm harder than the N. Vietnamese did to drop the idea of Lieberman and pick Sarah Palin. Now he says he regrets it and that just the most recent back-stabbing.
Muck FcCain!
Wasilla No.22. A class act in all respects.
Exactly. McCain valued the opinion of the Cool Kids over everything else. Trump didn’t.
Whatever you're smoking, you should stop immediately!
Palin endorsed mccain for re-election and it was not a good thing for America but it was loyalty on her part and I respect that.
We all did TPF, we all did. The night she won the Alaskan Gov race, some Alaskan Freeper started a thread, about 20+ of us responded. I said gee we have to keep an eye on her, she's attractive and might be great as a VP....
It starts here on FR and goes everywhere, this place has been rocking it since Jim Rob started it.
His pick of Sarah Palin as his Vice President was brilliant.
No less.
He had a real winner there. But he waffled.
He would have won, if he had actually stayed with her 100%.
I believe she was a brilliant selection.
No less than brilliant.
Nope.
McCain’s denunciation of Palin only proves what fellow POWs and the Reagans suspected..
His “service” as a POW was a hoax.
This is why McCain’s rescue photos were faked, probably to emulate Bob Dole’s career.
Same way McCain faked his leg injury a few months ago. What a pathetic fraud.
Considering what I’ve come to learn about the swamp these past few years, John McCain picked Sarah Palin precisely to lose. McCain never intended to win. When Palin pushed him ahead, the whole campaign went to work to undermine everything. The swamp wanted Obama, even some in the GOP. The bastards weren’t content to lose, they had to attack and destroy Palin’s political career afterwards. The swamp despises us. (I despise them)
This Trump revolution was the fulfillment of Sarah Palin’s. She cleared the way.
Now, I’m patiently waiting for the Sessions Justice Dept. to hand down their 29.000 indictments. I’m hoping McCain is one of them.
She didnt want to play Uniparty. Perhaps they told her how things worked and she didnt bite.
Who knows.
Sarah Palin was the only half of the John McCain Sarah Palin ticket that I wasn’t revolted by.
Easy.
The MSM turned against Sarah because she was a beautiful Conservative woman.
They attacked her in the most diabolical way. The lampooned her. Saturday Night Live did a number on her that stuck. There was no effective defense. When the I can see Russia from my backyard got in to the mind of people as being something that she actually said it was over.
McCain could not forgive Palin for something that was not her fault.
The MSM had a bone in their teeth and would not let go. They knew that they had a tool to bring down the Republican candidate and were going to ride it to victory.
ABC Brings Up 'I Can See Russia from My Backyard' in Palin Interview .
Pretty rotten to put it in his book.
What do you actually mean?
Sarah Palin had the real executive experience. McLame’s experience was a long and distinguished trail of debris.
NOT holding my breath...with Sessions doing anything.
And there won't be anything negative about McVain...The guy will be fawned over..And we will be told how to think about him.
Of course millions of people know different.
Remember the democrats War On One Woman?
Democrats and the media trashed Sarah unmercifully.
They were terrified that republicans would be first to have a female VP.
If McCain didn’t have Sarah to carry him in 2008 he would have been lucky to get 50 electoral votes.
Sarah was the seed around which the conservative movement crystallized.
As others have pointed out, Sarah wasn’t McCain’s idea. He wanted Lieberman.
