Maybe they are against her, because she is FOR the Commander in Chief. Sounds like someone needs to pull the plug on some corner of the Swamp. We do have a duly elected President, why so much STALLING, and him hawing around.

Didn’t she head the team that tracked down bin laden?

Sounds like good leadership.

Waterboarding wasn’t called “torture” until it was Politically advantageous for Leftists to call it torture.
Just ask John McLame.

It is unpleasant, but nobody has been killed or injured using it as an Interrogation tool used on Terrorists.

Some of our own Troops are subject to Waterboarding as part of their Training.

The CIA can lie to Congress, meddle in Presidential politics, manufacture and disseminate lies about US politicians, attempt a soft coup against a sitting President - but please don’t pour water up the noses of Muslim terrorists caught on the battlefield while overseas.

But did Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri die? Did he die?

Okay then, what is the F'n problem.

While it does remain a fact, that some limp wristed, window licking, pants wetting, bleeding heart liberals find what Ms. Haspel did or didn't do horrible, the simple fact of the matter is Americans deserve to be safe and to be free from attack.

When Nahiri lead the attack on the USS COLE he truly lost sympathay from the vast majority of Americans that love our country and mourn the loss of American servicemen/women.

"F" Nahiri!!!

I dare the left try this case in the court of public opinion, I dare them....

There is a line between advocacy and zealotry. This attorney should be aware of that. I am so fed up with attorneys who believe that advocacy means ‘by any means necessary’ to help your client. Especially when the client wants to bring down the USA.

I would use all means possible to save Americans. The idiot military lawyer does not get it nor does he know what real torture is. Interrogation techniques (being uncomfortable) and torture are totally different. It is widely known torture is a poor interrogation technique anyway. “Torture” is just leftist speak and code word for mean Americans.

So, in addition to illegal aliens, the legal system of the United States is now granting citizen privileges to unlawful combatants?

The military would have been within their legal rights to shoot every one of these jihadists on sight; the fact the US is providing them legal assistance is a blight on every innocent killed by these terrorists.

Madness!

Gina Haspel is a PATRIOT who did what needed to be done. Period. The Senate needs to approve her post haste and move on!

What the CIA needs right now is a 110% Rabid American.
Not a ‘conservative’, which would be middle of the road in this comparison. Not a ‘libertarian’, which would be ‘a little to the right’ in comparison.

You need a person (danger—hard language here),
that would have a full woody 24/7/365, full-on Tombstone range-riding cowboy, with no regrets of past deeds, or those soon to be done.

The lady candidate gets my vote. Besides, she has “been in the shadows”, and knows the game better than some cube-occupying DC peckerhead.

“a military defense attorney representing Guantanamo Bay inmate Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri”

Yeah; we care what he has to say. Is it reverse Stockholm syndrome, where he’s now identifying with the captive?

He says Haspel didn’t do the right thing? He needs to STFU already.
