Vice President Mike Pence's physician, Dr. Jen Pena, resigned Friday following the failure of President Trump's nomination of White House physician Ronny Jackson to become secretary of Veterans Affairs. “The vice president’s office was informed today by the White House Medical Unit of the resignation. Physicians assigned to the vice president report to the White House Medical Unit and thus any resignation would go entirely through the Medical Unit, not the vice president’s office,” Pence spokeswoman Alyssa Farah said. Pena had raised concerns about Jackson's conduct, which was reported this week. Trump nominated Jackson in April to take over the Department of Veterans Affairs, but Jackson withdrew his nomination after several accusations about unprofessional conduct in office.

She may be trying to evade a full investigation of her role in taking down Dr. Jackson. She needs to be thoroughly examined under an investigative microscope.

If she is behind the Jackson hatchet job, I’d call it “conduct unbecoming”, warranting reassignment whether requested or not.
Too late I suspect, the cat is out of the bag. Her exploits at the White House and the earlier capers at William Beaumont, the Army hospital in San Antonio are going to see the full light of day. It’s probably not going to go very well for her.
Reassigned to jail would be my hope.

Multiple news reports said she was one of the people who accused Jackson of misconduct, allegations that eventually sunk his nomination.............Pence’s office learned of her resignation today.
Yep - I would imagine her career has topped out and she’s getting her comeuppance for her dirty deed.
Send her to the most remote military outpost on earth, to cool her heels while the investigations are completed. Then she should be busted in rank and prosecuted.

As another poster pointed out, if she had leftist political sympathies, she might have posed a risk to VP Pence (even if only as a leaker of his medical info).

I don’t fault her in all this. Admiral Jackson was an odd choice and I really could not see him running the VA. His drug handouts, drinking, and so forth are likely typical and no surprise whether at the White House, on capital hill or elsewhere. Seriously, he survived at the White House for so long because he knew how to get along, keep people happy, etc. We need someone to go in and clean house, give no quarter to the swamp at VA. Admiral Jackson was wrong guy entirely. Pence’s doctor saved Trump embarrassment and should get thank you.
