the over 55s have been using cells since late 90’s and portable phones for a decade before then.

Those over 55 were also using the early phones with higher energy levels.

The handsets were never approved for more than .6 watt. Those old bag phones ran up to 3 watts, but the xmtr was down in the bag.

My comment wasn’t to discredit what you said, as I have no idea of the data. I’m just saying that if that is the cause, a researcher should look for the variation in rates between cell phone users vs. non-users. But that study would only be good before cell phones became ubiquitous.
