A Very Disappointing Segment on Fox News from Tucker Carlson
Iran Bulletin ^ | 2 May 18 | Christopher Holton

Posted on 05/03/2018 1:05:45 PM PDT by LSUfan

On 1 May, Tucker Carlson of Fox News Channel interviewed retired Colonel Douglas Macgregor on Fox News about Iran’s relations with the U.S.

Macgregor endorsed the horribly flawed Iran nuclear deal and essentially inferred that the U.S. is but a puppet for Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Disappointingly, Carlson made no effort to challenge Macgregor’s statements and contributed with some straw man arguments of his own that appeared to back up what Macgregor was saying.

The straw men start to appear at the :45 mark of the 5 minute video below when Carlson asks the question of Macgregor, “Is it in our strategic interests to have a conflict with Iran?”

This implies that the only choice is between accepting the flawed Iran nuclear deal or going to war.

Carlson then essentially accuses U.S. U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley of calling for war with Iran, something that she never said. Carlson goes on with this line of reasoning by claiming that “many Republicans in Congress and a lot of Democrats believe that it is essential that the United States goes to war with Iran.”

"Still, if you are going to spy on our friends in the middle of a war, you might want to tell them you are there."

So do you think that the Israeli's told us about Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard???????

The fact is that none of these people complaining about Tucker understand the power of free speech.

Tucker is sitting there with this awestruck look on his face while there crazies make off the wall rants because that is his way of exposing those nuts to those of us who understand what is going on

It is the wonders of free speech at work exposing fools.

It really works better than the O’Reilly technique of shouting them down. O’Reilly cuts them off before they have finished showing us just how idiotic they really are.

When Tucker is done, there is no doubt.

U.S. is but a puppet for Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Israel votes like US more than any other country

FNC is all but useless. Even FBN is going down hill now. On his two-hour FBN show this afternoon, Neil Cavuto had Jeh Johnson on to educate us all on the immigration issues we’re having at our southern border. Cavuto never challenged Johnson or his record while DHS head.

Sad. Johnson is not well qualified. I recall my old man escorting two groups of foreign officers in the early 50’s. Vietnamese and Iranian. He spoke fluent French, which made him the choice, as a Captain in 1954, to escort the Viets first and a year or so later the Iranians. The Iranians sent us pistachio nuts. The moths took over. I was young then.

“I’m disappointed in Tucker and can’t stomach the looney libs he repeatedly has on to walk all over him.”

Precisely.

Tucker's more dovish than some on the right.

He has had more hawkish guests on his show - Bolton, Peters, Boot -- and generally disagrees with them.

But he's also criticized Obama for making the Iran deal to begin with. And before he got his show, he was talking pretty freely about bombing Iran.

Tucker Carlson may be wrong about Iran now or he may be right, but trying to force everybody into conformity gets the country in to trouble.

Maybe he remembers the rush to war under Bush and believes he's learned something from that.

Speaking of Tucker, Steyn and libs....Tucker now has (what seems to be a semi-regular) segment, with that obnoxious lib gal (long, dark brown hair) and Mark Steyn.

I love watching and listening to Steyn, but cannot stand that lib hack, so....click the channel goes, when she/they come on :-(

.
Douglas Macgregor is a typical military antisemite.

Mormons tend to be this way too, since mormonism is just a form of Islam. (as is Freemasonry)

Except for the Laura Ingraham and Brett Baier shows, viewers of any other show on Fox must have a low IQ to forbear the rah-rah-rah of Hannity from whose mind never a single new idea escaped; Tucker Carlson’s endless interviews with know-nothings; and the kind of Judge “Judy” Jeanine Pirro we are supposed to endure on the weekend.

Hannity has a good, informative program and he has helped our side a lot.

Carlson sees our enemy, the New Axis, as having good intentions, or he’d rather wait until the enemy sends nuclear warheads to his cities and troops to the families in his neighborhood. His attention span appears to be from somewhere south of France.

The boy is soft in the head from growing up in that foreign, coastal culture. Foreign relations and historical knowledge are not among his strengths.

I’ll defend Hannity. Won’t watch him, but, I’ll defend him. He’s no genius, he’s repetitive, and has certainly had more good luck than most, but, he has been absolutely steadfast in his support of our President.

He is a very loyal guy and that’s worth quite a lot in the slimy world he occupies.
