Salem Media, owner of the influential conservative outlet RedState, froze the site on Friday and dismissed many of its writers.
Bloggers were locked out of their accounts -- some just temporarily, while the cuts were made, and others permanently.
Erick Erickson, who founded the site 13 years ago, and left in 2015, tweeted about what he called the "mass firing" on Friday morning.

My guess is that Erick or someone will create a site to host the ousted bloggers.

Erickson is a woman trapped in a man's body. I guess signing up for Team Megyn didn't work out so well.

This might mean that Red State is clearing out the NeverTrumpers and are getting off the Cheap Labor Express and on to the Trump Train to MAGA.

Like the rest of the “Movement Conservatives” Erickson has always been a con man taking “donations” form the GOP-E to serve as astroturf for their agenda.
The rise of Trump ended the con game where by the faux Conservative media marketed the GOP-Es agenda to GOP voters pretending it was what “Conservatives’ stood for.
With Trump, GOP voters finally wised up and got off the GOP-E plantation.
No one wants to read their NeverTrump nonsense,

This is a good development if they are getting rid of the idiots in their midst who claim to be conservatives but are actually open-border, globalist NEVER-TRUMPERS.

I disliked "Red State" the very first time I heard the name. It legitimizes the liberal propaganda control of the media which created this scenario where the anti-communists are "red" and the pro communists are colored "blue."
It started in 1992 when it was so obvious that Bill Clinton was a pro-communist piece of sh*t with extensive communist ties to Russia and behind the Iron Curtain, so they deliberately made the color which represented him "blue", because painting him "red" made it far too plain what he was.
They did it with the deliberate intention of manipulating votes.
No kidding. I’m sick of this “Red” bull$hit label on us. I’m a blue Conservative, not a damnable Commie Red.

Erick cashed out back in 2015; has a nice job hosting the PM news on WSB-AM in Atlanta, a 50,000 watt blowtorch that is perennially #1 in the ratings.
Probably saw the handwriting on the wall and sold the site. Since he founded it on a shoestring, the return on original investment was probably six or seven figures. Meanwhile, a lot of the fellow, Never Trumpers he hired are now out of work. Can’t imagine Salem was making any real money from the site, so they decided to pull the plug. It will probably be back, but with a much more conservative editorial slant.
If you’d read just a few lines into the article, you’d know he left Red State in 2015 so it would be kind of hard to fire him.
