While I agree that for an adult there must be responsibility in intoxication (don’t get behind the wheel, think of safety BEFORE you imbibe, etc), I do not believe that because you are under the influence you deserve sexual assault. I also don’t think your belief is legal. It is still a felony in most places to rape an unconscious or drunk person.

But here is a difference: Cosby’s comedy was rooted in a gentle, big brother talking about his family style. It was funny in part because it was about kids and growing up and family. It simply isn’t funny if you know the guy telling the stories is someone who drugs women so he can have sex with them.

So how come no such allegations have surfaced against Roy Innis, Walter Williams or Thomas Sowell? They’re long off the liberal plantation and following the North Star. In fact, that’s why they’re famous.

It pains me to point out that Ben Carson was accused maybe 20 years ago when he was hero Dr. Dreamy at Johns Hopkins Hospital, but he has led an exemplary life and no evidence whatsoever was found, and the "partially hot/terribly crazy" accuser slunk away due to a complete lack of evidence or corroboration.

I am saddened and angry at the same time that a man who portrayed himself as such a good person, a role model, well liked and respected, would have done this horrible act on women! In my opinion, neither his age nor his health should prevent him from being given the maximum sentence under the law! And after seeing him given that raised clenched fist, I sincerely hope racism is not going to rear its ugly head in this matter.

When the accusations first came out, I thought there was no way they could be true - it was women looking for a payday from Cosby or they were being paid by Cosby’s enemies to make these accusations. Or they could have had any other reason.

At this point, I’m sickened even looking at Cosby. There’s no way that many women are going to go to the cops with the same story and have it be made up, especially not over so many years. I don’t know how anyone can defend Cosby at this point.
