A Warning to my fellow Liberals
WSJ ^

Posted on 04/23/2018 6:14:21 PM PDT by yldstrk

"Instead of open minds and lively debate, I found dogmatic progressive ideology and groupthink. One attendee told me that I, a former Hillary Clinton campaign staffer, am “no better than Roger Ailes” because my company aggregates both liberal and conservative commentaries and thereby is “pushing a right-wing agenda.” Someone else said: “Trump supporters are so stupid . . . they think the tax bill was a good deal because they got back—what, a few thousand a year?”

I don’t claim to have the answers. I am, after all, a card-carrying member of the liberal elite. I went to high school on the Upper East Side, graduated from Bryn Mawr, and once made a six-figure salary at a Big Four accounting firm.

Still, I know that burying our heads in the sand and hoping everyone we disagree with goes away is not an effective solution. TheFlipSide.io has received lots of positive and constructive feedback from liberals and conservatives. But the most unconstructive criticism we’ve received comes from the left:

• “We need to convince the Trump supporters they’ve been duped.”

• “Trump supporters are not the norm; they are an aberration.”

• “You’re a traitor to the cause.”

• “Some ideas do not need to be engaged with, they need to be ridiculed.”

I am a bleeding-heart liberal, a patriot and an optimist. I refuse to believe that 63 million of my fellow Americans were “duped,” that exposing people to different viewpoints is betraying “the cause,” or that liberals have all the answers.

For all our smugness, we liberals have little to show. Republicans control the White House, Congress, and 32 state legislatures. Yes, polling data suggests we may be in for a “blue wave” this November, but we’ve gotten overconfident about polling numbers before.

Thanks for that link. I remember reading that back in 2009 when I was almost banned from Freerepublic for talking about gathering in DC to stop all these predictable things that has happened. I wish our side was much more retroactive.

I guess freedom that comes from God would not be so precious, if it were not so easy to lose.

Interesting analysis of the issue of “liberals/liberalism” but you missed a couple of things.

Saul Alinksy, who I heard and met, was a Marxist only he used a different approach to the “proletarian”. He wanted to organize the lower economic class workers, esp. in Chicago, into his “footsoldiers” and send them into labor unions, as store employees, public sector union members, etc. to take over local governments, etc.

He viewed them as sheep to be indoctrinated in a less revolutionary form of Marxism, and to be led by the professional revolutionaries - organizers, party members, etc.

Obama was one such recruit as a potential leader, and he made it.

Hillary almost became one of his leaders, but her own political ambitions suppressed his Marxist approach for a more subtle leftist economic policy and form of gathering an political army. She almost made it.

Look around Hillary and Obama and you will see some of the intermediary revolutionary soldiers and leaders that Alinsky envisioned in his army - Bill Ayers, Van Jones, Anita Jones, Valerie Jarrett, the Clinton lawyers and counsels, political campaign organizers, Robert Reich, Paul Krugmann, Cass Sunstein, etc.

They were not true liberals but mini-Marxists who wanted to share in the “power” if they had to be Marxists, fascists, or just Mob-like power brokers and “made men” in order to get it. Then their Marxist policies would dominant. Look at what Obama ordered and attempted to do. He was smarter than Hillary by a mile, but she was just as determined to become the new “fuhrer” or “Leading apparatchnik” (she’d wear whatever insignia was convenient for her).

“Liberal fascists” is nothing but a term for “Marxists hiding their true identity though their goals are the same as those of the fascists and communists, total control of society. Fascism and Marxism were evil twins in the 1920’s and 30’s. They had an in-the-family fight to dominate the world. One lost; one won.

Hillary would have made a great “Ilsa Koch - the Bitch of Buchenwald if necessary or an “Anna Pauker” of the communist side.

Obama was “red” from the day he was born and his whole life was guided by Communist Party USA members and sympathizers, possibly including one KGB asset, far-left liberals, and Saul Alinsky/Alinskyites, Marxist-socialists, and their “stupids” dupes. Obama learned how to manipulate all of them while being manipulated by them. And he won two elections for 8 years in which he did his damnest to undermine and destroy America and American power.

Since there are no major fascist countries or movements today, only the Communists and communism would fit Obama’s mentality and power-desires. He worked for communism and communism worked to control his education and ideological direction, and succeeded beyond their greatest dreams.

Saul Alinksy, who I heard and met, was a Marxist only he used a different approach to the “proletarian”>>>

yes, Alinsky was a communist BUT, his scions are NOT. They use am ideo;ogy amd method whichi is exactly fascist, except fopr the fact they are incredibly skillful a hiding who they really are. To understand one must look at the activity of the magic negro’s movement. Its essential precursor is racial and ethnic community nationalism located in urban centers across America. This natiuonalism is slightoly different in flavor from one group to the next. LA Raza on the West coast ( not communist, but nationalist), MS-13 on the East Coast brought in prurposefully to destabilize society in New Yourk and Boston , are South American natuoionalists. The list goes on. Every where you look you will see them. Blacl Lives Matter in Chicago: nationalists. And they all come together in a common socia;list agenda , using extortin, cultural methods and even violence to alter local public policy.

Thats not communist.

And inside of our government we have these liberal fascist cadres at DOJ, FBI , IRS, who promote the agenda, even in our judiciary ( witness the Federal District Court ordering PDJT to re-initiate DACA applications so that the force of nationalism can increase on the West Coast., the president is not even allowed to cancel previous executive orders of a former president.Communists do not do things like that.Fascist use the present system against itself from within in an evolutionalry way, the communists seize the means of production and focus on economy.America is not yet “poor” enough for communism to actually work. And so the fascism is what we are facing, count on it.

When you analyze from a liberal fascist point of view as to the activity, you will see how very effective the movement had become, and all of their work becomes very clear and purposeful at the state and federal levels. We must clean them out one way or the other.Or elese we will actually have to shot them at some point. You can takle your pick. The longer people call them communist, the less effective we can be against them, and the mnore likely it will become that we will have to shoot them, rather than use our Constitution and patriotic government to rid ourselves of them.
