combines 2016 Census data on ethnicity with 2010 data on religion from the Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies.
It does not include atheism or no religion, and only shows pluralities, meaning the group shown may not be an absolute majority in the county. The county-level data shows intriguing patterns across the US.

Wow, a lot of work went into that map!

How about a similar map showing the illegal population by race/ethnic, and religious group?
Read the link..they explain what this map is about and what it’s not.
I’m surprised at the color shown for Wayne County, Michigan.
Thanks...some of the middle are rather fuzzy.
Mainlines are predominantly more social oriented and take a liberal interpretation of Scripture all the way to not believeing Scripture is from God,
Evangelicals believe in the Word of God an hold to that.So I hope that is helpful
Oh yeah then you throw in Charismatics and Pentecostals for good measure. They are usually in th eEvangelical court
Not in the South.
the guys thread on reddit who created the map is on the daily mail link....interesting to read the questions and what folks shared there too. They mention the Chinese. The China growth is a direct result Xi’S desires to infiltrate here. He makes it part of his “deals”.

But, these majority minority counties are declining in population and not heavily populated to begin with, and there are no large cities. Charleston, Greenville and Columbia are just about it and are mid-tier in size at best. Mississippi and Alabama are pretty much the same.
I’d put almost all of them into the “Evangelical Protestant” group.
The “Mainline” has become barely a branch line.
