Alyssa Milano, Alec Baldwin, Amy Schumer Help Launch Anti-NRA Campaign
8:37 AM PDT 4/20/2018 by Katie Kilkenny
The new initiative aims to advocate for gun control and to chip away at the National Rifle Association's political influence.
Less than a month after March for Our Lives events swept through American cities to protest gun violence, a group of Hollywood stars including Alyssa Milano, Amy Schumer and Alec Baldwin have partnered with Parkland, Fla., students, activists and policy experts to launch a new initiative aimed at advocating for gun control and reducing the political influence of the National Rifle Association.
The No Rifle Association initiative (#NoRA) announced its formation and goals in a letter to NRA executive vp Wayne LaPierre on Friday. It was signed by over 130 celebrities and activists including Parkland shooting survivors David Hogg and Cameron Kasky, #MeToo founder Tarana Burke, Ashley Judd, W. Kamau Bell, Don Cheadle, Minnie Driver, Jon Favreau, Nathan Fillion, Jordan Horowitz, Jimmy Kimmel, Julianne Moore, Michael Moore, Patton Oswalt, Annabella Sciorra, Jill Soloway, Amber Tamblyn and Constance Wu.
"Were going to shine a bright light on what you and your organization do to America. Were going to make sure the whole world sees your bloody hands. Were coming for your money. Were coming for your puppets. And were going to win," the strongly worded letter announces.
The letter says the #NoRA movement will "rais[e] the voices of all victims of gun violence," citing as examples people from communities of color, which are disproportionately affected by gun violence, women who have survived domestic violence and children who have died in shootings. The letter also says that the organization intends to "counterac[t] the influence of NRA money in the political system."

I’m thinking that taking on Wendy’s wasn’t helping her financial woes.
(Shhhhhh! Don't tell the Hollywood snowflakes.)
...Alyssa is just trying to atone for Embrace of the Vampire...
Amy is just acting out as a useless Schumer family member.
George is atoning for...well, being George.
Like all liberals, they believe they can make our decisions for us, tell us what the Second Amendment means and that it is archaic while forgetting gLexington and Concord, run our lives, take care of ourselves and our families, and protect them better than we can.
Another great lesson from American history.
YAWN...
I remember laughing at the tabloid headlines back in the '90s, when Alyssa's mom was on that hopeless crusade to scrub all of her daughter's nudie pics from the internet. Alyssa just doesn't come from a line of perceptive, thinking people who make wise decisions.

Jeeez, they got just about every POS in the “entertainment” business!
And there are no words you can write here to describe Alec.
Nice pic of Alyssa. Was that taken before her contracting genital warts, herpes, AND Hep C, or after?
Being hot is no replacement for stupidity.
....the usual gang of idiots.
(Yes, I'm an old fan of Mad magazine)
Z List Actooors.
It sure does. These idiots have no clue that the more the push the anti-gun crap, the more people buy guns.
If they wanted guns out of society this is what they should do.
1. Close the borders and stop criminal aliens from entering the country. Throw out the ones that don’t belong here legally. This reduces crime and the people would feel safer.
2. Incarcerate criminals for their full sentence. This reduces crime by keeping criminals out of society and the people would feel safer.
3. Govern as a servant of the people rather than a tyrannical power. This would show that the government knew its place and the people would feel safer.
4. Actively go after violent law breakers and those that threaten others inappropriately. This would clean up the threats to peaceful living and make the people feel safer.
5. Stop the persecution of law abiding citizens for owning the wrong type or color of self defense tool and honor the Second Amendment completely. The people would feel safer.
Then after 100 years of a government in its proper place, the borders safe from alien invasion and criminals locked up tight, we may think about buying 0.00001% less than now. It is not the place of government to know what firearm a person has. It’s not the place of the government to know how much ammo a person has. The government’s only responsibility when it comes to firearms is to not infringe on the people and to punish those that use a firearm with reckless disregard and aggression against others.
A responsible person with a warehouse of M-60 machine guns is less harmful to society than a thug with a screwdriver. That seems to never enter the discussion.
Yet Hollywood cant get enough of guns and shootouts. How many of those who signed on will forego any future roles in films in which guns are featured and/or will agree to donate The proceeds of their previous roles in films that featured guns?
How many of those listed have armed bodyguards?
How brave of them to risk their jobs in such an attempt of repeal of basic American rights the public holds sacred...
Oh wait, they are a bunch of D class entertainers of the backside of their careers...
How brave....(/sar)
