MS-13 has directed its members to “take out a cop” on Long Island — prompting the NYPD to put its officers on high alert, according to a new memo obtained by The Post.
Police are hunting for the suspect, a tall, light-skinned Hispanic man with a thin build and a tattoo of three dots next to his eye.
Police in Hempstead — one of the Long Island towns where the violent gang has a stronghold — were tipped off to the threat Wednesday by a “credible” informant, the NYPD memo said.

Between October 2016 and June 2017, local law enforcement agencies released 142 gang members that immigration authorities were seeking to deport instead of transferring them to federal custody. The prisoners were subjects of active immigration detainers, which are formal requests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to local authorities to hold criminal aliens until federal agents can pick them up.

There was a recent news story about how crime in Central America had increased since we started sending their murderers and rapists back down there, and I asked a co-worker from that area about it. I thought it was strange that this was presented as “bad news” to Americans - that these murderers and rapists were plying their trades back there instead of here. He explained that those countries were overwhelmed by the wave since many had joined the gangs here in the US - they weren’t native gangsters returning, but people who had left there as children and were returning as hardened criminals. He understood why it was a good thing they weren’t here; he preferred they stayed down there as well.
