Former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, a combative former prosecutor and longtime ally of President Trump, told The Washington Post on Thursday that he has joined the presidents legal team dealing with the ongoing special counsel probe.
Im doing it because I hope we can negotiate an end to this for the good of the country and because I have high regard for the president and for Bob Mueller, Giuliani said in an interview.
Giuliani, who joins a legal team that has struggled to recruit new members to its ranks, said he has been speaking with Trump for weeks about joining the group of legal advisers. He said he would work alongside Trumps current attorneys, Jay Sekulow and Ty Cobb, who focus on the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He also said he will soon take a leave from his law firm, Greenberg Traurig.

I often write to President Trump via the White House link. I suggested "America's Mayor" a couple of weeks back after reading the lies about "no DC big name lawyers would work for him." I know my suggestion had nothing to do with his hiring but I am very pleased, nonetheless. I have been waiting for Rudy to arrive and I anticipate Chris Christie will also follow.

I’m really pleased also and it doesn’t hurt to contact the WH, you never know when something might strike the person on the other right and it gets to the POTUS.

I always liked the way Rudy sent back Alwaleed’s $10 million check in the wake of 9/11.

Forgot about that.
Character moment for Rudy, among many.

When the “Access Hollywood” video was released in October 2016 hardly any Trump supporters were willing to show their faces in the media and publicly support him. Rudy Giuliani was one of the only ones outside Trump’s family who stuck with him through that first weekend when everyone thought Trump would drop out of the race.

Rosenstein’s days are numbered either way.
Bringing in Rudy changes the dynamic.

Don't you just love hard ball?
Rudy's going to "make them an offer they can't refuse" because he knows where the skeletons in THEIR closets, and THEIR bodies are located. They will be begging to end this farce of a witch hunt.
