Fox News and CNN On Wednesday again traded blows on the air with Fox News's Sean Hannity comparing CNN's Anderson Cooper to Jerry Springer and Cooper hitting Fox for not reprimanding its top-rated host.
The back-and-forth jabs seem to be happening on a regular basis between the two cable news networks, with MSNBC, which is currently second to Fox News overall in the cable news race, rarely being dragged into the fight.
“In the two days that have elapsed since the president’s lawyer Michael Cohen was forced to reveal in court that the mystery client he tried to keep secret was, in fact, Sean Hannity, the consequences have been swift,” Cooper said.
“Fox News did what any respectable news organization would do when faced with the knowledge that one of its anchors went on the air time after time after time to breathlessly report on someone without disclosing his own personal connection to the story,” he continued.
“I’m kidding,” Cooper said to laughter from his panel. “They don’t care. They didn’t care.”
Hannity on Monday in federal court was revealed to be the previously unnamed third client of Michael Cohen, President Trump's personal attorney.
Critics have argued that the host should have revealed his relationship to avoid appearances of a conflict of interest, while Hannity has maintained the relationship was minor and he never retained Cohen or "received an invoice or paid legal fees.”

Cooper you LIE. Hannity is not a news “anchor” he is an opinion talk show host. Even so he is a lot more accurate than the Walter Cronkites of the world, but his job is not to pretend to be the objective news anchor...

These pundits continually make themselves the news.....and the public just laps it up as if watching a mud throwing contest.
And CNN gave debate questions to Hillary.
Would be great if we’d get the news instead of the latest pundits ‘opinions’ and ‘chat sessions’ of the hour. Those days are long gone!

I suppose Sean could have easily passed off at some point that he knew Cohen, or even that he had asked him for a non-client opinion about real estate. It is no secret that he invests in RE.
I mean, Sean is unafraid to mention his ties and his acquaintances. He has often used the term “in full disclosure, I....”. (I choose to think this oversight, if one wants to call it that, is an example of how little importance the conversation ever was to Sean.)
In one particular case, he doesn’t do that and all hell breaks loose. Go figure. It mostly proves this Judge Kimba Wood is a “hit man”, herself.
