“HF 3022 would also make gun owner private data public. This would include:

Number and type of guns you own
Your address”

Lists can be very valuable.

Again I will post this from the long suppressed 97th Congress Congressional Report from 1982 on the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. Betcha can’t find a complete copy with the pro and anti arguments in it. The court cases in the 1800s are listed.

https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2015R1/Downloads/CommitteeMeetingDocument/68101

“The conclusion is thus inescapable that the history, concept, and wording of the second
amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as well as its interpretation by every
major commentator and court in the first half-century after its ratification, indicates that
what is protected is an individual right of a private citizen to own and carry firearms in a
peaceful manner.”

We thought they’d go away if we allowed them to ‘marry’. What happened? Now they’re in our grade schools recruiting kids to be gay and demanding that boys be allowed to use girls locker rooms. Next up in this area is ‘normalization’ of pedophilia. The end-game here is tough to figure out, but my hunch is that it’s total freedom for perverts with parents reduced to babysitters for the state, if parents even get to keep their own kids.

As to guns, the article has it correct, and don’t be surprised if they use the New York City subway trick when they need a 25 cent increase - which is to ask that the price of a ride be increased from $1.50 to $2.00, have people yell and scream, and then ‘only’ increase the price to $1.75...and the people react by saying ‘Wow, that was close!’. In the case of guns, maybe they’ll just ‘compromise’ at the California level.

...and don’t be surprised if the one area that they really move out on is the ‘public shaming’ aspect, even without any of the other measures. For that, they can claim that they’re not doing anything to prevent gun ownership, knowing full-well that the vast majority of gun owners would prefer that their hardware NOT be public, and many will choose to not own any guns at all because of this clause.

Gun owners need to learn to TAKE THE OFFENSIVE and HIT BACK. If the gun-grabbers are so adamant against allowing schools to protect themselves (i.e., armed staff/teachers), how about we start asking whether they actually WANT MORE SCHOOL KILLINGS, as that is what they will be getting. And how about we answer for them - and that answer is YES, and the killings serve the purpose to provide further political cover for gun grabbing, each time an incident happens. If the incidents stop, gun-grabbing will DRASTICALLY slow down or stop completely. So, yes again, THEY NEED DEAD CHILDREN to advance their agenda, and we need to call them on it.

It began in 1962. In 1976 they threw off the mask claiming they “only wanted to control handguns” calling for a full ban as their end goal and “Rifles will not be affected!”

In 1987 they threw of the “Rifles” mask and called for bans on semi-auto rifles.
Then in the 1990s, they threw off the mask calling for bans on certain large caliber bolt action rifles.

Yep, people who even introduce such bills, or co-sponsor these bills, need to be placed on a list.

Believe me, MN is every bit as radical let as their neighboring commie state of Illinois.

Shouldn't MN hold off until Duncan v. Becerra is settled? Or is sippy cup Hogg pushing MN into this?

I think it's just a matter of time before a state bans guns outright, and the courts and the Federal government will do nothing to defend us.

Nothing to defend us?

Stock up on ammo and purchase more weapons for the day you are going to have to defend your self and your family.

Minnesota has a huge hunting population. Being outdoors in all 4 seasons is standard behavior with the majority of people up here. Outside of the Twin Cities’ metro and university towns, the state is a conservative as any other state. St. Cloud which has been traditionally Democratic as turned GOP, despite St. Cloud State University, and local area St. Johns U and College of St. Benedict. Historically SC has a large Catholic population [Germans and Luxembourgers]. But the Democrat Party has left us all.

This may be the spark to “Turn Minnesota Red” in November [the GOP’s motto in MN in 2018!].

Minnesota is a far-left, socialist hell hole and has been for quite some time. Think Paul Wellstone, Al Franken, Amy Klobuchar, Walter Mondale, etc.

Socialism reigns supreme in Minnesota. I’ve known several people who hailed from Minnesota, and all but two got the hell out of there.

..and the courts and the Federal government will do nothing to defend us.

The courts and fed gov are made up of people.

People who we wish to lift a finger on our behalf against the powers that wish to squish us.

The supreme court will protect us, if we get the right people in there, we say.

but when it comes to it, we meekly acquiesce and go, cuffed, into the wagon.

Every single law that has passed infringes....who is ready and willing to kill or be killed?

To harsh a statement? yes, yes it is, and they are collectively banking on that sentiment as they deprive us of every freedom.

I agree with everything that you said, but particularly

“This is why the people who said bump stocks were not the hill to die on were wrong and the NRA was wrong. “Oh we don’t want to spend political capital on a stupid toy!” Bzzzzt. Wrong. You threw away political capital trying to score points with people who would shove you into ovens in death camps if they had their way.”

That IS the bottom line - our opponents are LEFTISTS. Not liberals, but LEFTISTS. Liberals may be naive and/or stupid, but they at least generally play by the rules. The Leftists, OTOH, ONLY want to win, and will do anything necessary to do that...up to, and including, literally putting us in cattle cars and later disposing of our bodies. Both sides of my family have been victimized, some by Russian Leftists (Communists) and some by German Leftists (Nazis); I have studied these people for most of my life, and I KNOW what their endgame is. Suffice it to say that it doesn’t end well for those who like freedom and individual liberties.

Fight these people - always and everywhere. Failure to do so when it is easy (with words, letters, emails, voting, etc.) will make doing so with guns, knives and bombs necessary...and that will be much harder.

Here are 2 links that people need to peruse:

http://www.market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=233259 A call by Karl Denninger to contact BATFE in opposition to the ban on bump stocks. This thing CAN be stopped - but we need overwhelming and reasoned comments. Do your part (that’s the collective “you”) while it is easy.

The Gun Rights Cake Analogy - by Law Dog: http://thelawdogfiles.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-repost.html

This states, very succinctly, why we can NO LONGER COMPROMISE: because we have ALREADY compromised, many times, and it has never done ANYTHING for us. The other side keeps coming back for more and more every year, with literally no end in sight except total confiscation. We know where this train ride terminates...so it is time to disembark RIGHT F’ING NOW!!!! Send this Law Dog post to anyone who advocates compromise, from now until the day you die - make it go viral. Get the word out: compromise only means a long, slow, suffering death.

My inlaws sold their home recently in Thousand Oaks, CA. They are looking at CDA or Sandpoint ID area. They fled CA the day they closed in their RV loaded with their firearms collection worth thousands of dollars (and we added up the felony jail time and fines in CA) and 20 years in a CA prison. They are now in friendly territory where the old man can pull out his guns and say, “come on over and lets shoot”. For years he had them hid in drywall, in the garage, inside of furniture in CA. Damn shame.

Many useful idiots here at Free Republic said that we had to be prepared to compromise on bump stocks as a “show of good faith” and a “willingness to compromise,” to avoid further infringements.....

Yep, I’ve argued with a couple of them. But we all know that the anti-second amendment people stop when they get what they want, right? I mean, I know that if we give them a bump stock ban they won’t ask for anything else.

The cancer that is California will spread and there are no viable treatment options.

A surgeon would recommend excision, just like with McCain's bowel infection.

Looks very like a bill introduced in Alabama about 6 months ago. I wonder if they are working from a template.

list of "common sense" gun laws at least according to the tyrant wannabes

This show that anti-gunners cannot be bargained with; they cannot be reasoned with; There is no "middle ground".

This will end one of three ways.

  1. They pass their legislation and we accept it and are enslaved
  2. The pass their legislation and open resistance breaks out, but the police kill enough patriots so that those who might resist are all dead
  3. Open resistance breaks out, and enough anti-gunners, their political donors, their media lickspittles and their pet police are killed to put an end to this for a generation.

I got my family out of there several years ago, I spent over 20 yrs there and watched it get ‘progressively’ worse. Even though there are many gop leaning counties the twin cities, Rochester, Duluth as well as the reservations over-whelm the political process and push their evil agendas. We will never go back and will avoid reservations and big cities like the plague (because they are). They are a cancer and need to be cut out and eradicated.
