First the chlorine, then chaos and death in Syria attack
AP ^ | April 17, 2018 | SARAH EL DEEB

Residents of the Syrian town of Douma were packed into underground shelters amid bombardment when the gas began to spread. Suddenly, panic ensued.

As shouts of “chlorine, chlorine!” rang out, some ran into the night and fainted in the street. Others climbed to rooftops, hoping they’d be safer rising above the gas. Dozens didn’t make it out at all, some stumbling on stairwells, out of breath, where they were later found dead.

The bodies were still there the next morning, strewn around the buildings, including toddlers and young children.

They just used basic chlorine cylinders, attached wings and dropped them. If it ruptured or broke the valve neck it released the gas, if not nothing. One broke the valve neck and released, the other remain complete and failed.

SARAH EL DEEB doesn't sound like a trustworthy name to me. (But that's just me.) Someone at OAN apparently went there and interviewed folks who said nothing unusual happened. (Who to believe?)

It’s remarkable how the bad guys keep promoting the obvious lie.

Everyone knows it was a false flag.

During my second deployment, 2006-07, to the GZ (Green Zone)jihadis were detonating chlorine tanks to try to get at us.
We believed that if they ever figured out how to gauge the wind the outcome would have been far different.

We were carrying out MOPP gear everywhere during those times. Very creepy.

A doctor in Douma has told British reporter Robert Fisk that it was oxygen deprevation down some tunnels due to the bombing and a storm. The doc and locals say no gas attack.

Yes this is why Trump was tweeting that he needs congressional approval to go into Syria. He’s figuring out he got played.

You really accept PBS as an un-biased arbiter of news?

The Assad family has brutalized Syria for decades. It was hoped that Bashar would be more reasonable (sane?) than his father. But he hasn’t exactly shown himself to be less of a tyrant. We really DON’T know what’s going on there & he may have had any number of reasons for gassing his own people. That being said, I’ll watch the video. But I’m not sure I’ll give it any more credence than Alex Jones or CBS.

OANN, the most conservative cable network, had a report from one of its people on the ground and claims that the whole incident was staged to provide cover for the rebels to escape. Regretfully I have to agree until I am shown a MOTIVE for such an attack. An attack guaranteed to make Assad’s position much more difficult.

Christians were not persecuted under Assad. It is our “allies” who have killed thousands and destroyed hundreds of churches.

YEP, when they go against the Deep State and the Neocons. Perhaps you have a ulterior motive for their report, I certainly don’t have one.

Once lived in a small town where a company wanted to build a chlorine plant. There was a public hearing, at which one of the residents asked “If there’s a breach, where do we go?” The honest answer was “Heaven or hell”.

I’m sure President Trump had a good reason to bomb, whether Assad gassed his people or not. Funny, if it was Clinton or Obola nobody in the media would be questioning it and Republican protests would get zero air time. So tired of the double standard.

AP like CNN are propaganda outlets of McCain’s head-choppers.

There was no reason to use chems and the odds are basically 0 that the Syrian govt used them here.

I guess the difference between us is that I look at motives, and I cannot see ANY REASON why PBS would take the same position as Trump had on Syria (before the Neocons took over), which was that everyone sucks out there, but Assad sucks the least.

And yes, because PBS had no motivation to lie to me, I’m going to believe them LONG BEFORE I believe the Obama/Hillary/Deep State bunch - but you’re obviously welcome to believe what you want to.
