In this piece by Clarice Feldman in The American Thinker, she lays out that the intelligence agencies used the time from Trump's first talking about a strike to when it actually happened to listen in on intercepted communications of all parties as they all withdrew from the region. They knew what was happening on the ground.

Although I respect, and like, OANN - I wouldn't trust what any 'on the ground' Syrian has to say about what is going on over there. I also don't trust what bill of goods our CIA (or the Brits) sold President Trump to justify this excursion. President Trump should just stick with his instincts and untangle us from Syrian involvement. We shouldn't allow ourselves to be used as proxies by our Saudi bankers.

Yes, Assad is brutal - but he's better than McCain's and Lyndsey's ISIS buddies. And I'm OK with the Ruskies meddling in the area. At least they'll support the local Christians.

Re: Duh — because it is a lot easier to wipe your enemies that way and, with Russia’s help, he has gotten away with it before.

In that case, since Assad is a war criminal, there is no reason that Trump cannot the release the evidence.

After all, Trump will have to release the evidence at Assad’s International Criminal Court trial.

When Trump releases the evidence, I’ll read it, and make up my own mind.
