Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley was arrested in South Philadelphia on Sunday morning.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Worley "became combative" with officers and was tasered at the corner of Broad and Pattison, right next to the NovaCare Complex, at 6 a.m. Worley was reportedly found passed out in a vehicle and 911 was called. A gun was also reportedly taken from the scene.
The Eagles confirmed Worley's arrest in a statement: "We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning."
Worley, 23, came to town as the return from Carolina in the Torrey Smith trade. He was just the latest young cornerback added to the Eagles' group. Even better, Worley was returning home to Philly, where his parents still live in their same North Philadelphia neighborhood where he grew up.

When I saw the headline, I thought it was this
Daryll Worley, the one who sang "Have You Forgotten".
Glad it's not the same guy!

And he was in possession of a...gasp...HANDGUN when he was busted. He would’ve also fit in at the march for our lives rally, just like Sharpton’s half brother.

So instead of driving while impaired, he chose to sleep it off in his car, then someone calls the police. He’s awakened by these officers and gets arrested for not cooperating when all he wanted to do was sleep.
Remember, “became combative” often means he dared ask a question, or (heaven forbid) didn’t answer a leading question.
Yeah, major infraction there.
Another felony for the books, because now just getting into your car is enough to get you charged with impaired driving, so it IS his fault.

My daughter was relating to me a story she had read about a man who had been nearly swallowed by a hippopotamus. "And the next thing I knew, I was in this dark and foul-smelling place."
"You mean Philadelphia?" I interjected.

The team that represents the city that booed Santa Claus adds a other felon to its roster...shrewd. According to the article, the team released him.

But, but "..the brothers are in charge now..." quoth a black mayor a while back.
Guess is wasn't "white privilege" blighting the city.
OTOH, I haven't heard of any Philly non-black mayors using bombs to blow up cray-cray malcontents, either. /Wilson Goode

My thoughts as well. I have actually met Daryl and he is a good guy. A son of a minister.
