Yes back in the day ......
why the heck did he leave the “high desert”, young tart aside, to go stick his neck out in that part of the world?
Why else do possums cross that 8 lane highway?
I’ve noticed that someone has been moving many important news stories covered by Reuters, UPI, New York times, fox, abc, cbs, etc. into chat lately, with absolutely no reason being given.
He died doing what he enjoyed, in the Nevada desert near Area 51.
RIP Art.
RIP. Much better than George Snorey.
I used to listen to him right before he went off the wall in 1997-98. Noory took over and did a good job since 2002. But I quit listening. I got tired of the melodrama that lead Art to return and quit again.

Above is a link to a video entitled “Art’s Final Wave Goodbye”. Shows him on his driveway looking up at the drone he is flying - GREAT video with suitable Coast-to-Coast music.
RIP Art.
Thanks for posting. I’ve been an Art Bell fan for a long time. I have TuneIn with several Bell stations on it, but I didn’t know about DogZebra. It’s nice to have more stations, so you can switch when Art is doing Ed Dames or Malachi ;-)
I always liked the ‘Open Lines’ and ‘Ghost to Ghost’ nights; it was fascinating to hear all of the ‘average folks’ telling their strange stories.
He was an odd personality, but a very thoughtful man and a genius at interviewing, regardless of his subject matter. And he had a fantastic voice for radio.
RIP
You are welcome—so how about returning the favor and sharing the other Tunein stations with Art Bell on them (if they still have him on)...:-)
Thanks.
‘The Best of Art Bell’, ‘Art Bell Radio - Strange Planet’, and the ‘Ultimate Art Bell’ are the others that work best for me. There’s also one called ‘Art Bell Stream’, but that one never seems to work; and one called ‘Art Bell Classics’ that seems to be ‘empty’ too.
If you like that kind of thing, there are some others out there - I think KGRA-db is pretty much all ‘alternative talk’. And the Paracast guys are good on UFO stuff; they bring on a lot of the old-timers that are left in the field as well as young people.
There are also websites that archive Bell broadcasts, so you can pick which guests you want to hear - Coast to Coast has some, too:

(I tried listening to Heather, but just couldn’t get into her.)
There’s an awful lot of other NON-weird radio on TuneIn, too - I like John Batchelor a lot. Like Art, he’s an excellent and thoughtful interviewer who really bones-up on his guests.
I’d like to get an Internet Radio for this, because if I’m not listening to radio, I’m listening to audio books; and constantly re-charging my gizmos ;-) I need to learn about Internet Radio.
