Cooper did “suicide by cop”. The man was unhinged.
They might want to check his front door to see if it has any nerve agent on it....
The Merle Haggard interview was fascinating, to say the least.
He could really get folks to ‘open up’.
His book “The Art Of Talk” went into depth on his approach to interviewing
guests regardless of their fame, political leaning, wealth, or social status.

Godspeed Mr. Bell.
*Cue Moody Blues Bumper Music and fade out...
He returned to Pahrump after she died suddenly.
In the early 90’s, I had lots of fragmented sleep nights. Listening to Art Bell was the only thing that got me thru those nights. I never did care for his ‘replacements’. Sorry he is gone.
Oh yeah. Elvis and I went on it 5 times in a row!
What happened to Richard c?
I once held a job as an overnight dispatcher for a private security firm and some nights seemed much longer than others.
Listening to Art Bell and Coast-to-Coast AM kept me from nodding off many times. One never knew that to expect when the show started at oh-dark-30.
Someone explained Art Bell to me as a “carnival barker”. He knows the right stuff to say to get people to play his game.
For those of us who were lucky enough to have grown up in 40’s and 50’s...or even earlier...radio shows were magic and gave total free range for the mind and imagination. Such shows as the Green Hornet, The Shadow, Suspense, Gunsmoke, etc were wonderful. On long drives we listen to Old Time Radio on Sirius and the shows are still just as captivating. Art Bell was of that entertainment genre and they don’t make them like that anymore.
Requiesce in pace Art.

These are long interviews, but riveting and chilling.
Listen to them while driving, or working in your garage or yard.
I guarantee you will them absolutely fascinating.
I looked up Mel’s hole. Made me smile. My familiarity with the “schtick” of characters like Long John and Art Bell, and of course their guests, prepared me for how beautifully Democrats and their ready made “victims” can spin a web of lies. Many people lack that discernment.
I don’t think Noory has ever disagreed with a guest, or ever expressed the tiniest bit of skepticism.
><
Exactly. He’s a wimp. I think he is now a Trump hater, too. I can’t stand him.
Same here.
Both his wives died suddenly?? Weird.
I just went to look it up. No, only the one wife died. And I had forgotten how quickly she was replaced. I really was quite uncomfortable with the turn of events when she died.
“His interviews with Father Malachi Martin were absolutely riveting”
Yes, they were the best and there was nothing fake about them.
I agree. The ghosts and goblins stuff is just dull.
Buck Sextons show replacd Dana Loeschs in the 7-10 slot here. I like that he loves history and hope that if political talk radio doesnt work for him, he tries an overnight show focusing on fascinating but obscure historical subjects. He could call it Mysteries of History or some such.
I would probably like that. Noory gets to be repeated from 10 pm to 5 am. His show would be deadly boring during the day and its sleep inducing at night.
