US will strike Syria
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Agreed.
Only if I was wrong, but my gut instincts are right about this.
President Trump is alienating his base with crap like this.
We should be so lucky.
If we bow out, the most likely replacement is China.
I give you 10:1 odds this does not take out Assad anytime soon, and if he does “go”, in the next year or so, this attack itself will have little or nothing to do with it.
Hitting the Russian military directly would be unwise...
That said, Russia was supposed to expedite & guarantee getting Syria out of the chem weapons business. Pootie Poot has some ‘splainin’ to do.
.....”President Trump is alienating his base with crap like this”......
Only those who weren’t really with him to begin with......additionally none of us are sitting in his chair, nor do any of us have even close to the information he gets.....from all sides of the Syria situation.
Long ago all countries and institutions agreed to no chemical weapons.....end of story.
Did Reagan alienate his base when he bombed Libya?
Did Reagan run on not getting involved in Libya?
Huh? When did pages reduce to 20 posts? It’s been 50 every time I’ve logged in, with never a break. Not saying I could not have missed a week somewhere...
That is a blatant lie. We have the largest stockpile of chemical weapons in the world. Have you ever heard of the US Army Chemical Corp?
There are approximately 22,000 members of the Chemical Corps in the U.S. Army, spread among the Active, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard.

Very Interesting..... apparently Russia didnt act by fire against these strikes....Only the Syrian Army with weapons.. and they weren’t prepared.....as I understand it the Russian role consisted by providing an early warning 6 hours BEFORE the strikes, and by radar support.
You just aren’t getting it......no chemical weapons to be used!....... Does everything have to be spelled out for you?
You don’t like him, but you individually are not his “base”, and I fully support him in this limited strike on chem. weapons.
Who was invited by the Syrian’s? Who was not? Of what business of ours is it? Outside of the new leases that are now owned by Conoco Phillips for the oil fields in the part of Syria, where are troops are parked. More of our kids can now die for oil corporations. Are they your kids?
We were already involved in Libya. Obama saw to that when he sent US troops there in 2015. Most of Trump’s Twitter comments about Syria are from 2013, long before he became a candidate, and long before our troops were there.
The Libyan attack was a retaliation for a bombing attack on US Forces in Europe.
This is just a neocon attempt to get us deeper into the mideast quagmire.
We shall see.
That’s not my problem to solve. Trump and his mil advisors have intel that no one on FR is privy to.
This attack was not to destroy or kill Assad, just the chem weapons and ability to use them.
One Iran’s influence and presence in Syria is gone, then the people of Syria can determine their own future. Trump was very clear in his address tonight that the US cannot make the Middle East peaceful, it’s not the duty or responsibility of the US. The people in the ME have to determine their own future.
I get it just fine, not so sure about you.
